Xen4CentOS 6 64bit - domUs don't shutdown on dom0 after "yum upgrade" to 4.6.1
...of gwd on #centos-virt @freenode IRC. The subject says most of it. Here are the details : - Was running 4.4.x and configured such that /etc/xen/auto domUs would be saved/restored on dom0 shutdown/bootup. - Installation was based on "centos-release-xen" such that "yum upgrade" brough Xen to 4.6.1. After upgrade observed behavior: - dom0 boot starts up the domUs in /etc/xen/auto. - dom0 shutdown does not save/shutdown domUs (the command is "shutdown -h now" via ssh). Diagnostics: - Running /etc/init.d/xendomains stop/start does the right thing. - chkconfig --list sho...

[RFC] Vector Predication
...vector length: is it in terms of the mask? the longer data vector? if the latter, what happens if it isn't divisible by the mask length? There are multiple options and it's not clear to me which one is "the right one", both for architectures with native support (hopefully the one brough up here won't be the only one) and for internal consistency of the IR. If there was an established architecture with this kind of feature where people have gathered lots of practical experience with it, we could use that inform the decision (just as we have for ordinary predication and dynamic...

Using Julian Anastasov''s ''routes'' patches on 2.4 kernel in conjunction with IPSec
Hello, I use Julian Anastasov ''routes'' (to be more specific: static_routes, alt_routes and nf_reroute) patches on a 2.4.32 kernel. On the same host I run IPSec. I have discovered after a few hours of networking problems that, when IPSec is enabled on that patched kernel, inspecting packets with tcpdump while arping-ing a host from a network physically connected to this

Error when using do.call
useRs, I'm using version 2.0.1 on Windows XP. I am a bit of a newbie and I am trying to learn the concept of computing on the language. I have an example that I think ought to work, but will not and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I would like to sort a data frame by a list of columns. Eventually I would like to wrap this in a function so that I could sort data frames by a list

Linux HA may not be the best choice in your situation. High Availability using 2 sites
Just to clarify, I'm looking at this from an application layer Point of View. One of the reasons why I'm looking at it that way, is because Tim said he was looking at LinuxHA..."application level" redundancy that uses IP. Tim, just to let you know, I don't believe that LinuxHA will work in the way you described, only because of the different IP ranges. It looks like Linux

Longest known unpatched FreeBSD security issue ?
Does anyone know off hand what the longest known serious security issue (i.e. remote compromise) has been with FreeBSD that went unpatched ? e.g. security hole is reported to security-officer@FreeBSD.org. X days later, fix and advisory committed. What has been the largest X ? My jaw dropped when I saw http://www.eeye.com/html/Research/Upcoming/index.html ---Mike

I have a long running webserver, runs a bunch of mostly php+postgresql stuff, mostly hobby sites (clubs and local scout troops and such). has latest updates to php 5.2.10-xx but I want to install something thats insisting on php53. If I try and yum install php53, it says it conflicts with php-5.2.10 ... ok, do I remove the old PHP and install

(Sorry can't find the relevent KB article but I'm sure this has been brough up before.) I'm am positive that this was an issue in 2.0.x as well. Was 2.2.x supposed to return unicode to NT clients that supported it now? I didn't see this in the release notes. /James NGeldenhuys@rmbam.co.za wrote: >Hi People > >I've got some bad news. Creating a new factor from other factors and a date range
Hello useRs, I'm using version 2.0.1 on Windows XP. I have a data.frame with 3 factors and a date. The data.frame is sorted by the 3 factors and by date. I would like to create a new factor designating membership in a group. Each group is defined as having the same factor values and dates that are less than some number (e.g. 10) days apart. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to
