Hello! Currently I am trying to install Starcraft + Broodwar on Ubuntu 11.04 using wine 1.3.15-0ubuntu5 (wine1.3). My future aim is to get it running well, and to be able to connect to a LAN with several Windows 7 PCs via TCP/IP (somehow IPX does not work for them) BUT: I am stuck at the very beginning: I installed starcraft on wine's C:Programs/ etc ....

After I updated Ubuntu to 11.04, Starcraft Broodwar sound is buggy. It is delayed and sometimes it is not reproduced at all, for example at the start. With Ubuntu 10.10 I had no problem. Any ideas?

Well heres the story.. I decided to install the newest version of wine (20010326 I believe) I am running wine on a linux partition, and have configured everything according to the various HOWTOS and FAQ's and other pieces of Documentation I have read. Starcraft & Starcraft Broodwar installed with no incident whatsoever. I have a question, I had installed kubuntu jaunty in 386 architecture and wine runs games well good (I have an acer aspire one NETBOOK). Recently i have installed the version of kubuntu lpia, everything is fine, but when you install the version of wine for lpia some games that run well on 386 dont run in lpia. I am having installing Napster on a system with out windows. I get to almost the end on installing the Windows Audio Format files, and then hangs. I can get the install to complete if I cancel the WMA support, but then napster refuses to run. Anyonw know how to do this? I tried both wine-20010216 and todays CVS. -Dan de Haan

...try, I gave RON a try and I keep hitting the error below when trying to start installation (i basically get nothing no spalsh screen nothing :( ), this was after I had the preloader bug http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12516#c8, which the work around fixed and I was able to install starcraft/broodwars okay as a test (runs well). To perform a proper test (I was worried it might be my computer hardware/videocard) I grabbed an old 3gig hard drive and stuck Ubuntu 7.10 + updates and Wine 0.9.46 onto it and tried to run RON installer it ran perfectly with no preloader bug and I was greeted with t...
