EPIA-M board for Centos
Is there any problems using this board? I have a dead board in a Book-PC (board size 10.5"x6") so am looking for a new board. Actually I want 2 LAN ports. 'Router' boards with enough umph to run Centos are expensive. I can pick up a VIA epia-m with 512Mb memory for $70 including shipping, so this is rather attractive option. I do have a 100Mb low-height PCI board that I

centos on intel D945GCLF board
Hi, I am trying to install centos on the intel D945GCLF board. It's a mini-ITX board with the atom processor and it uses the Realtek RTL8102EL LAN chipset. When I disable the on-board LAN card it installs and runs OK, but when I enable it, I get kernel panic at boot. The board runs perfectlj with Fedora 9 (with the latest kernel) or with Ubuntu server. My question is: is there some way

TE412P (T1/E1+DSP) digium card cause server crash
Hi all I have a server that has two TE412P (T1/E1+DSP) cards installed. One of them configured as an E1 PRI connected to PSTN and another one configured as a T1 E&M connected to Avaya PBX. Each card only uses two ports, so there are 2 E1 lines and 2 T1 lines connecting to this server. The purpose of this server is as a TDM trunk gateway that gets call from E1/T1 and then forward to an IP-PBX

Asterisk on Mini-Box M300
Hi, Did anyone try to install Asterisk on the Mini-Box M300 with a Versa mini-ITX board 1GHz VIA x86 CPU? The box looks promissing, but I am not sure if Digium cards are compatible with the mother board (Versa mini-ITX) Also I am not sure if the 1GHz VIA processor can handle a Digium 24 port analog board, or an E1 digital board. If anyone had tried the Mini-Box, the processor, of the mother

Motherboards
Does anyone have any experience with Super-Micro brand motherboards // dual Xeon cpu's? Had to swap out my Tyan piece of junk and going back with the S-M board. I believe it has similar north/southbridge chips on it -- at least they are the intel MCH ICH5R and PXH plus the 82546GB. One area that the Tyan board was seriously lacking in was in the hardware monitoring department. The S-M

New Sangoma AA Series?
Hello All, I saw an add in my latest Linux Journal advertising Sangoma's new "AA series" of FXO/FXS analog cards with on-board echo cancellation, but I can't find any information at all on them. Even the link given in the advertisement is a dead end as far as I can tell. Anybody else seen/heard anything about this? -Seth

[LLVMdev] Proposal: Improvements to Performance Tracking Infrastructure.
Great summary Kristof ! I do not know how frequent is the addition of a new benchmark, but this would disrupt the compile time measurement. On the other hand, we just want to see a (hopefully negative) slope and ignore steps due to new benchmark being added. SAMBA Groups and Permissions
hi i have a user ~# id test_user uid=500,gid=500 (users),groups (users, kids) as you can see, this user is in primary group "users" and also member of group "kids" if he tries to access /home/board via smb (Samba 3.0 + openldap) from a windows client (XP), he fails, because his sambaPrimaryGroupSID maps to -> "users" and /home/board is not accessible for

modern motherboard for centos-5
I'm considering upgrading, and am trying to choose a modern motherboard that nevertheless fully works with Centos5/RHEL5. Though I'm partial to AMD processors, and would like to use one in my new configuration, that's not a requirement, if the most appropriate board happens to be intel-compatible. However, given the way ASUS is dumping LInux and crawling more firmly into bed with

3.3v PCI board - TE410P photo
Hi- I have posted a photo of the TE410P Digium card on my site, so that those wishing to purchase a compatible motherboard can see physically what the PCI slot requirement is: http://www.evtmedia.com/TE410P.htm I believe the required slot is a 64-bit, 3.3 Volt PCI, most commonly found on Xeon-based motherboards. A 64-bit slot is longer than the TE410P board requires, but the PCI connector

T100P-E100P circuit board differences
Hi- Perhaps someone with an E100P in hand can answer this: I just received an E100P from Digium (I normally buy quad boards) I noticed that the circuit board says "T100P" on it, and I assume that the T100P and E100P both use the same circuit board. Can someone please confirm that their E100P says "T100P" on the artwork? Thanks Scott Scott M. Stingel Emerging Voice

Questions about AGI and Wildcard boards
Hello all :) I've just been handed a project that I need to get working pretty quickly. Basically I have four "analog DID trunks" for incoming only calls coming in. I know that these are Loop start with Wink start, and that after wink they send a 4-digit id number. Is this something that the Wildcard boards are able to handle and that Asterisk could interpret? The digits

Moving hard drives
Hi All, I have a server that is running nicely, except I have hit the maximum RAM (4gb) and I wish to add more. It is an ASUS board, AMD X64 dual core, nvidia nic. What I want going to move to is a dell board, Intel Pentium M dual code, which supports 8gb of RAM. Can I just unplug the HD and move it to the new server and boot it up? I assume that the NIC will need to be re-setup, but what
