bnx problems
Hi,
I''m trying to BFU my own build of ON onto a snv_104 installation and
I''m hitting problems with bnx driver; which is coming from a set of
snv_105 closed bins:
WARNING: bnx0: Failed to allocate GLD MAC memory.
I believe bnx is a closed source GLDv3 driver. Were there any
incompatible changes due to the crossbow integration that went in after
snv_105? (opensolaris.org appears to be down at...

Problems running the game GUN from Neversoft.
Hello!
I have installed Wine 0.9.55 (pretty sure of that) on my Mandriva 2008.
I tried to install the game GUN from Neversoft. (It works fine on windows Vista). On the distribution it says that it is compatible on Windows 2000 and XP.
But when I try to install it it seems to work, but when I try to run it I get an error in a popup.
Right now I'm at office and do not exactly remember the

Help with booting dom0 on a Dell 2950
Hi, I have installed b_78 on a Dell 2950 and booting to bare metal works fine but when I try to boot using the grub entry Solaris xVM it will boot to the point where it displays the uname info and then just stays there. It will not boot past that point. I have enabled VT technology in the BIOS (but only after the installation).
Where/what can I look at to trouble shoot this? I am new to xen and

If I do a search on /var/log/messages, all I get is the following
Sep 11 11:38:18 gs-prod-dwh01 kernel: bonding: bond1: Unable to set eth2
as primary slave as it is not a slave.
(the cards are set as two bonds, bond0 with eth0, eth1 and bond1 with
eth2, eth3):
lsmod shows that the bnx2 driver is loaded:
lsmod | grep bnx
bnx2 216653 0
/etc/modprobe.conf includes the following:
alias eth0 bnx2
alias eth1 bnx2
alias eth2 bnx2
alias eth3 bnx2
I have also tried to set eth2 and eth3 to use the bnx2x in
/etc/modprobe.conf, but all to no avail.
Any suggestions?...

Occasional storm of xcalls on segkmem_zio_free
So I have this dual 16-core Opteron Dell R715 with 128G of RAM attached
to a SuperMicro disk enclosure with 45 2TB Toshiba SAS drives (via two
LSI 9200 controllers and MPxIO) running OpenIndiana 151a4 and I''m
occasionally seeing a storm of xcalls on one of the 32 VCPUs (>100000
xcalls a second). The machine is pretty much idle, only receiving a
bunch of multicast video streams and

HELP! SNV_97,98,99 zfs with iscsitadm and VMWare!
I''m not sure if this is a problem with the iscsitarget or zfs. I''d greatly appreciate it if it gets moved to the proper list.
Well I''m just about out of ideas on what might be wrong..
Quick history:
I installed OS 2008.05 when it was SNV_86 to try out ZFS with VMWare. Found out that multilun''s were being treated as multipaths so waited till SNV_94 came out to

Are there (non-Sun/Oracle) vendors selling OpenSolaris/ZFS based NAS Hardware?
I''ve seen the Nexenta and EON webpages, but I''m not looking to build my own.
Is there anything out there I can just buy?

Fwd: cgroup OOM killer loop causes system to lockup (possible fix included)
...ensures all shell sessions start off with an oom_adj of 0. This is
*EXTREMELY* hacky, and I'd certainly hope to see that the debian devs fix
this issue in the future.

Btw, to make 100% sure it was the bnx2 module which was causing the issue, I
removed bnx2 from auto loading at boot time (on the broken server), ran the
same check, and the issue had been resolved. But this...
