Re: Problem BMC Remedy User Version 7.0.01 on ubuntu 8.10
Hello all,
Just wondering if I can breathe some life back into this thread?
I am attempting to run BMC remedy with WINE on Ubuntu as described in the subject.
After using winetricks I got a little further....
After adding msxml3 && msxml4 to the libraries (native, builtin) for WINE I got much further........
I can now run BMC remedy client on Ubuntu from WINE and connect to the server. I...

Semi-OT: ipmitool or ipmicfg: set BMC to use NIC 2
The man page isn't helping, nor have I been able to find examples that work.
For example, the man page claims I can do ipmitool lan get active, and I
try, and it says, "invaling lan command, get".
Do I set the MAC address for the lan to NIC 2? Anyone have a clue - I do
*not* want martians on the real network.

In my experience, it's either hard-wired to a particular interface.

This will be very dependent on your motherboard and its BMC capabilities.
Some can do IPMI on specific ports and not others. On the Intel S2600
series that I use they can use port 1, 2, and a dedicated RMM port, but not
ports 3 and 4. You'll need to check your mobo suppport docs to see if it
can even handle IPMI on the second port. If so, you just conf...

R Usage Statistics
Hi,
I got the following comment from the reviewer of a paper (describing an
algorithm implemented in R) that I submitted to BMC Bioinformatics:
"Finally, which useful for exploratory work and some prototyping,
neither R nor S-Plus are appropriate environments for deploying user
applications that would receive much use."
I can certainly respond by pointing out that CRAN contains more than

IPMI in Libvirt
Greetings all,
I am looking for a solution to use IPMI (BMC) in with LibVirt (Virt-Manager). Actually there is a Customer behind this request as well.
Trying to be short: We are looking for a Solution in OpenStack Environment. Customer wants to have the entire environment running in Virt-Manager (probably for a P.O.C or tests purposes). So here is what he...
