Survival analysis MLE gives NA or enormous standard errors
...t the following model: sr.reg.s4.nore <- survreg(Surv(age_sym4,sym4), as.factor(lifedxm), data=bip.surv) Where age_sym4 is the age that a subject develops clinical thought problems; sym4 is whether they develop clinical thoughts problems (0 or 1); and lifedxm is mother's diagnosis: BIPOLAR, MAJOR DEPRESSION, or CONTROL. I am interested in whether or not survival differs by this covariate. When I run my model, I am getting the following output: > summary(sr.reg.s4.nore) Call: survreg(formula = Surv(age_sym4, sym4) ~ as.factor(lifedxm), data = bip.surv)...

Bip viol. in E1 cards
Hi all.. I`m with a problem in some E1 cards. The value of Bipolar Viol is too big, and some times the link seems well, but isn`t work correctly, like as if the link is down. Normally, I use to stop asterisk, remove the modules from my card, use modprove to set up they again, and start asterisk, and it come to work, but in some times I have to reboot the serv...

Question regarding significance of a covariate in a coxme survival model
...library coxme. I am trying to model time to onset (age_sym1) of thought problems (e.g. hearing voices) (sym1). As I have siblings in my dataset, I have decided to account for this by including a random effect for family (famid). My covariate of interest is Mother's diagnosis where a 0 is bipolar, 1 is control, and 2 is major depression. I am trying to fit the following model. thorp1 <- coxme(Surv(age_sym1, sym1) ~ lifedxm + (1 | famid), data = bip.surv) Which provides the following output: ------------------------------------------------- > thorp1 Cox mixed-effects model fit b...

Problems with ADIT 600 - latency, loss, etc
...;d like to see the physical T1 validated but am becoming increasingly concerned that no one at this company knows how to do it (I'm hoping I don't need to bring in a Tberd and have them loop it, so I can do their job for them). I found something on here about the T1 slipping and/or getting bipolar violations. What else can I have these guys check? Thanks - Ralph Rather annoyed ADIT user who thinks it's perhaps not the box's fault...

Estimate "between-axes" vs "within-axes heterogeneity of multivariate matrices
...ve) measure(s)? Something that would graphically perhaps give an indication without time-consuming clustering, sampling or whatsoever processing? Even though the above mentoined authors mention some measure for the assymetry of the yielded compoenents ( uncentered -> unipolar, centered -> bipolar) I find the concept a bit hard to understand. Isn't there a quick way (function) to just say (with numbers of plots of course) "well, it seems that the data are heterogenous looking at between- axes" or the other way around "it looks like the variables differ within, more th...

Description of Zaptel/DAHDI E1 alarms
Hello, I am missing any description of zaptel/DAHDI alarms. The TE200 series user manual contains only a description of LEDs states. These alarms states are visible in zttool/dahditool or in astersick CLI (zap show status) and I wonder what is the real meaning of these alarms for E1 channel. Possible alarm states (based on zaptel.h 1.2): 1. No alarms 2. Recovering from alarm 3. In loopback

What I did not know is that, unlike ICL or Bilog, ltm does not constrain discriminations to be positive. This means that it can be used to analyze bipolar data (think political sciences). There are also two new features: (i) Tamaki Hattori has kindly provided me with the original 1980 article of Haebara, and he has written code for the symmetrical versions of the Haebara and Stocking-Lord scaling methods, now available as an option; (ii) I have fina...
