Packet integrity error. (29) - fixed by pre15
I just installed the 1.2pre15 RPMs and, as hinted in the announcement, it
fixed this problem.
Thank you!

[Bug] check return of kmalloc()
Hi,
I''ve discovered that some btrfs code doesn''t check whether kmalloc()
call succeeded. I poorly understand what this code does and how it can
be changed, maybe it would be happy with __GFP_NOFAIL.
Also there are BUG_ON() after kmalloc()''s, if they could be changed not
to panic it would be great.

I have RHel6. How does that turn into Centos 6?
The bickering here about Centos 6 has made me wonder what is actually
legally necessary to re-distribute the RPM files that come with RHel6.
I am not starting a flame ware, I hope. I'm just curious about what
is minimally necessary go from RHel6 to another distribution. I
suppose we could discuss "...

Is there anyone would like to hold a standard organization of Markdown syntax?
My stackoverflow question here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9222990/is-there-an-official-organization-for-discussing-or-releasing-standard-markdown.
And github issue here: https://github.com/michelf/php-markdown/issues/27.
So, if there were somebody hold that, the markdown world would be much
better than ever!
If held, the ORG need a concil to discuss standard, and a website to

Any ideas?

ANNOUNCEMENT:NEWCallingCardApplicationforAsterisk
Areski, thank for spending the time to write it.
Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.
But, many special thanks for having to sit this MySQL vs. Postgress
bickering WAR.
GUYS, this is an Asterisk Users Mailing List.
PLEASE, take it elsewhere.
I really do want to help newbies. But about 200 messages a day is hard
to read through.
When you add another 50 to the bunch for no reason it only makes me
wanna delete them all.

In my own experience, the single largest cause of forking is way too much ego
flying around. Forking because of petty bickering *is* a waste and does cause
unneeded confusion.
Forking for commercial goals is much more sinister. Witness Microsoft's
"embrace and extend"...

I can already hear the bickering and infighting over who will
get FSF "general support" funding for what projects each year.
FSF has to hire more and more lawyers to stave off "why not me"
lawsuits. The Europeans complain that the Australians are
getting a disproportionate fraction of funds. Governments ge...

wine and build difference between R.2.4.0 and R 2.4.1 windows binaries?
Does anybody (most probably the core team) know if there is
any difference in how the official 2.4.0 and 2.4.1 binaries are
built?
Problem is, 2.4.0 loads with the wine (I tried a few recent
versions, and also used 2.3.x under wine from time to time),
but 2.4.1 won't.
Thanks.

Problem plotting curve on survival curve (something silly?)
OK this is bound to be something silly as I'm completely new to R -
having started using it yesterday. However I am already warming to its
lack of 'proper' GUI... I like being able to rerun a command by editing
one parameter easily... try and do that in a Excel Chart Wizzard!
I eventually want to use it to analyse some chemotherapy response /
survival data. That data will not be

Top Posting
As I did two years ago, "I'm posting a new thread with the "Top Posting"
subject" rather than hijacking the "Paging for Praying" thread.
Two questions:
1. Steve K: What do you mean by "/coat"?
2. How do we change rule #5?

MySQL vs SQLite
I have an application where speed is probably the #1 priority here. I am
using MySQL 5.0.22. Would SQL be considerably faster than MySQL?
I know this has been discussed before, but the search on the forums is
not working.
Thanks for your help.

*** Asterisk Sunday News: Gone Fishing...
Spring is back in the Stockholm area. After a few day's worth winter re-runs,
the sun is back and night-time temperature is at least 5 degrees celsius. Time to
move out all my annual flowers and prepare the garden for summer.
Sweden is famous for our annual five week holidays - by law. From june to late
august, it's almost impossible to make any business decision, since there's always

Slightly OT: The state of users
Hello all,
I don''t want this to be a tome'' but felt a comment was in order.
Many new users (Linux and Shorewall are no different) are more apt to not
read the manual(RTFM) as they view it as "Taking to long" and don''t
understand it''s relevance in their particular scenario. This is
unfortunate in the case of Shorewall. As the documents are not only

security flaw in Active Directory that was not a problem in NDS) and Microsoft
sees having a "god user" type account, Administrator, as a feature, not a flaw.
At any rate, with Windows 2000 this was a major mulling point for Novell and
Microsoft to bicker over when the release was first made of ADS. Things may
have changed since that time.
