comparison of parameters for nonlinear regression
...p( (tmid1-x) / scal1) )^(1/n1) ) ) ) - (1 / (1 + (n2 * (exp( (tmid2-x) / scal2) )^(1/n2) ) ) ) ) After the estimation of the parameters thanks to "nls", I have 2 models. The idea is I want to compare this 2 models and particularly I want to know if the parameters are different are not beteween this 2 models. Is there a way to do it simply in R? HTB is nor fair when ''borrowing? Can someone correct me or maybe Devik''s HTB has a bug?
Hello there! Yesterday I started my experiments with HTB. I configured it this way: 1: root HTB qdisc | 1:1 HTB class rate 1000kbit | /-------+------\ 1:40 1:50 1:60 user1 user2 user3 rate 333 & ceil 1000 for everyone. User2 is disconnected and user1 and user3 are downloading. For all the time (t1-t5) there are ONLY these two users downloading! HTB should give

Bad passwords from Vampire / NT migration
...its job, but somehow the tdbsam is being written incorrectly with respect to password hashes. It seems as though the tdbsam database version is not in sync with the vampire tool, though it's odd that there aren't any visible error messages. Shouldn't the LanMan / NT hashes be the same beteween pdbedit and samdump? thanks, Cooper [global] workgroup = CLS security = user passdb backend = tdbsam domain master = no wins support = no domain logons = yes local master = yes preferred master = yes os level = 33...

Erratic CPU load
Hi, During tests with a IAX2/PSTN gateway I've been getting strange results for processor idle time and load. I (re)search(ed) this issue for a while, but I didn't get any good explainations. Can somebody help me? I have several sites that rely on a central server for connection to the PSTN. Calls to the PSTN are routed over the Internet to this PSTN gateway using IAX2 in trunk mode. To

Is log_in_vain really good or really bad?
Heya.. Yesterday someone "attacked" by box by connection to several ports.. In other words, a simple portscan.. yet, since my box has "log_in_vain" enabled, so it tries to log everything to /var/log/messages, since the logfile got full and the size went over 100K, it tried to rotate the log to save diskspace. (Apr 16 21:00:00 omikron newsyslog[32137]: logfile turned over due
