How activate routing beetween domain
...h ''ip r ...'' that enable routing in Dom0 is not execute by my system when I use ''xm create -c ...''. Are there errors in the script? If I invoke it directly, nothing happens. Excuse me for my english, I''m italian. It''s urgent. I must use routing beetween VM. I''m a novice with Xen. I hope someone can expose me how to use the script or another script to activate the routing correctly. sharing scsi disk beetween two freesbd's ...
I want to use one scsi disk with two redondant servers, mounted r/w on server A and r/o on server B. Everything works, except that when I write data from server A, I can't read it on server B before un-mounting the disk ant re-mounting it... (with AND without soft-updates) Is there any way to mount a disk r/o keeping in sync with real disk data ? Thank you. -- Geoffroy DESVERNAY

regression output to latex
hello everybody i was seeking a converter beetween R regression output (eg with summary) and the conventional way to present regression output in paper: every model as a vertical vector with \beta, t beetween parenthesis below the first, and other statistics (R^2 etc) . I've seen hmisc and xtable, and if I didn't miss something, they don...

HIGHESTMODSEQ replication issue
...messages. I'm using ActiveSync and the ActiveSync server use the HIGHESTMODSEQ as part of the synchronization key (sync_key), so in that situation the server detect changes on the mailbox if it connects to the backend with a different HIGHESTMODSEQ that it previously cached, causing a loop beetween the ActiveSync server and the the email client, where the server constantly inform email client about nonexistent changes. Could it be a bug in Dovecot replication? How can I solve it? Best regards, Gustavo Ajeitos

ISA server can't validate users over samba trust
...nd the dc in 2003, when i share any resource it works fine!, i can see users in 2003 and samba and give permissions. The issue is.... when in the isa server i try to create a user set i select the samba server, i can see the users, i select one, accept and isa gives a message saying that trust beetween samba and the 2003 dc doesnt works!, this is not truth because i can share resources and give permissions over the operating system, the malfuncion is only over the isa server!! The ISA Server is mapping all the user accounts of the users on Samba users list. The users who are in my local domai...

: Question about correlation between data.
...firstone is a series of mesured data (height of monitorated points), the second is a series of temperature (in Celsius degree). Using Matlab I have built the two graphs (Measured Data - Time & Temperature - Time). Looking those graphs I can surely say that there is a clear correlation beetween theme, and also that the measured data are surely influenced by the variations of temperature. Unfortunately my statistical knowledges are not that large so using R seems quite difficult to me. My question is: is there a code already written the can compare the 2 temporal series and can fin...

Premature termination of script
I am fairly new to R and I am writing a script that would take a file, as an input, and generates a bunch of graphs out of it. My first task is to be sure that the file is of the right type by looking if there is a valid barcode in it as in (the barcode is beetween a double and single underscore): library(tkWidgets) ############## #Loading a file #testing if valid if not kill the execution ############## data.file <- fileBrowser(textToShow="Select a splice junction array extraction file") if ( t <- regexpr("__\\d*_",data.file, perl...

Problem with lm
...ybody, I have a problem with the output of lm. In fact, when I compare the R output and the Splus output, the results appears to be different : I have a dataframe with 5 factors , 16 rows and a response. First, I tried to fit this response to a linear model : lm(rep~(A+B+C+D+E),data). The results beetween SPlus and R are different. In a second time, I tried a new fit : lm(rep~(A+B+D+E+A:B),data). The estimation of the main effects in the model are the same as the one obtained for the first fit for Splus, and are different for R. Here an exemple : On R: On Splus...

Attended Transfer does not release channels

So - why doe...

FLAC: how to dump seekpoints ?
Hello, metaflac provides exporting CUEpoints, but not SEEKpoints. As i understand, cuepoints represent gaps beetween tracks (inserting pause), whereas seekpoints merely describe a list of seekable points. Can cuepoint be used just as seekpoints (in the end, the only thing which matters is that some classic media players will recognize them). In the script i have just posted before (joining source PCM/WAV files)...

Excel Add-in
I'm trying to make a connexion beetween Excel and R. It works for simple requests but it seems that complexe functions won't work. Does anybody knows how complexe can be the data set and function used? Does it exist something else than the Erich Neuwirth Add-in (which is already really interesting) ? SOS Boosting
Hi, I am trying to implement the Adaboost.M1. algorithm as described in "The Elements of Statistical Learning" p.301 I don't use Dtettling 's library "boost" because : - I don't understande the difference beetween Logitboost and L2boost - I 'd like to use larger trees than stumps. By using option weights set to (1/n, 1/n, ..., 1/n) in rpart or tree function, the tree obtained is trivial (just root, no split) whereas without weight or for each weight >1,trees are just fine. So here is my question :...

Cluster analysis of protein time series
Hello!!! I have a question about clustering. I'll present my problem first. I have a simulation of a protein trayectory (a file with a time series of protein 3D-coordinates), from it I can calculate the Root Mean Square desviation (RMSD) beetween any pair of structures in the trayectory, which is a rough idea of 3D similarity beetween them. If for every conformation (trayectory frame) I calculate the RMSD with all other frames in the trayectory, I get a RMSD matrix, which is the data i have now. In some published works a conformational a...

focus problems
...en maybe I can look after it, though I think that this is trivial to fix, and it is easier to fix it, than to help me to fix it :) (I'm pretty new to wine and X programming). I have also tried to switch to run the program(s) in desktop mode. Then I dont have focus problems, but if I switch beetween the windows with Alt-TAB then when I switch back to wine then the wine works as if I'm holding the Alt key, though I'm not. (The same happens with the Ctrl key if I use Ctrl-TAB to switch beetween virtual desktops). Best regards Zsolt Rizsanyi

Performances network samba
Hi all, I 'm new here. We have installed OpenOffice in a "network" mode onto a samba share named \\openoffice\ooo (linux Mandrake9.2) The performances are slowest (a 10M network) I was wondering if there is a simple way to optimise performances beetween a samba share and the win2k clients, a cache or something similar ? Thanks for any help.
