[Bridge] 2.6.12: iptables connection tracking broken on bridge interfaces
...;t have the time to check and I thought it was due to the kernel
bridge firewall being loaded, the tests I did today with 2.6.12 final didn't
have the kernel bridge firewall, just normal bridge and normal iptables.
If you need any other info to check this just ask for it.

[Bridge] patch for a message bug
...as already patched by Stephen on the git.
I have applied the same solution that Stephen applied for the first one,
follows the patch against git plus a minor exclamation mark modification I
did so that all ENODEV messages were exclamative (Stephen patch had missed
that mark).

[Bridge] couple of bugs and patches for bridge-utils
...rts have patches or show the
typos made on doc.
Here they are:
http://bugs.debian.org/296881
http://bugs.debian.org/348617
http://bugs.debian.org/376914
Last one seems quite important, I'm wondering if there will be a new version
because of that one.
Thanks in advance!

[Bridge] recent 2.6 kernels hang on bridge shutdown - solved
...e only on
one of my machines, and only sometimes, and it doesn't happen on any of my
other bridges, I've been trying to get the steps to reproduce it but I'm not
able :-(
Mirko, if you can do more tests, maybe you find that your machine it still
suffers from this.

man pages for swfdec-gnome and swfdec-player on Debian
...ckage, and are of course free so
you could add them to the upstream package and make the changes you want. If
you preffer me to send them to the list I will do it.
That's all, I hope you keep on developping this great software for a long
time. Regards and happy new year to everybody!

compiling latest swfdec in debian unstable
Hi,
since a few days all the dependencies for compiling and running swfdec
0.5.90 and newer are met in debian experimental. So after adding the
experimental repository in /etc/apt/sources.list and doing apt-get -t
experimental install libsoup2.4-dev libglib2.0-dev you can continue to
test latest and greatest swfdec.
cheers,
Riccardo

Negative caching of DNS queries never expires?
...setting
it to 0 (no cache) and to low values, but I haven't been lucky with any of
these.
Is this supposed to be like that?
Does anybody have any idea on how to solve this issue?
If this seems a problem and you need more info to try to diagnose it, don0t
hesitate to ask.

[Bridge] Wireless Bridge problems
I am using the madwifi driver with the patch to allow changing of the
MAC address
and I have two other ethernet interfaces plus a pppoe interface. My
outbound
connection is ppp0. I have ath0, eth1, eth2 for internal interfaces.
I have
added these three interfaces to br0. Once the traffic leaves the linux
router, it gets
NAT'd and goes out through ppp0. All traffic on all segments works

[Bridge] bridge breaks loopback on 2.4.22
...n.
I believe that the changes the bridge went through from 2.4.21 to 2.4.22 are
to blame on this one, but this is just a guess.
Hope we can find a fix for this so that it is integrated in 2.4.23 kernel,
I'll be happy to make any tests you want to track this farther down.

[Bridge] Linux bridging code bounces back frames?
Hi,
I'm trying to build a bridge using a 486DX2/66 with two 10 Mbit Ethernet
NICs. The machine (tsushima) is running Debian stable and kernel 2.4.26.
Previously I used it as a router, so I know the hardware (NICs) is
working.
The NICs are as follows:
eth0: WD80x3 at 0x280, 00 00 C0 0A 2C 2F WD8003-old, IRQ 10, shared
memory at 0xd0000-0xd1fff.
