Finding the right number of clusters
...omething called the "cubic criterion" cutoff for finding the most appropriate number of clusters. Does R have anything that would replicate that? I've been searching the lists and can't seem to find anything that would point me in the right direction. Thank in advance, Philip Bermingham

proj4R library will not install
...Wbem;C:\Program Files\Intel\DMIX;C:\Program Files\UltraEdit;C:\proj and I created a new user variable PROJ_LIB to c:\proj\nad. I'm not sure if I am missing anything here but I still get the <2.0.0 error. If you can help me in any way I would truly appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Philip Bermingham

Modifying the parameters for a function
I have modified the parameters for a function (for my own use) in the stats package, but I assume I need to update the parameter set in another file as I'm getting the following error when I run R: The compile works fine so I assume there is a configuration file in the base package of R that needs modification.
