I see that mksmbpasswd.sh (plus a little editing) would be a good way to set up users with "NO PASSWORD" in bulk. But suppose I don't want the risk of the "NO PASSWORD" approach. Hi! I can't find this bug in FAQ: VisualC++ 5.0 alwais complains "This source file has been modified outside the source editor. Reload?" Sources are located on the last samba server under Linux. System clock on Linux is set to Greenwich, zone offset applied. I tried to set NT clock to be more than Linux, this does not help. -- Andrew

Looking on the ftp sites, the last time the packages-4-stable stuff was updated appears to be 19 March (UTC). I am assuming this is because the build cluster was co-opted to producing 4.8 CDs. Hi all, I'm using samba 3.4.7 on a debian stable with kernel version 2.6.26-2 smp running on a P4 3.0Ghz with 1Go memory. There are about 50 users in the domain, all worked fine til i upgrade from samba 3.0.14 to samba 3.2.5 from the stable debian repository and then to samba 3.4.7 from the lenny-backports rep, as i've already seen slow logon with the samba 3.2.5. here is the result
