issue with 3.7.1p2
Hello, I have recently download and compiled version 3.7.1p2 of openssh, but am having authentication issues with it. I have been using 3.6.1p1 with no problems. Both versions were compiled on the same Solaris 8 host. That host uses ldap for its name service. Both were compiled using the same openssh config options: --prefix=/opt/openssh --with-pam --with-zlib=/opt/openssh/lib However, the

What I Want For Christmas
Calling All Mongrel Minions! I wanna have some fun and would like this as a Christmas present. The site http://www.workingwithrails.com/ has this lame popularity system that''s kind of irking some of the main Ruby contributors. I think it''s kind of funny, but would like to demonstrate what an army of motivated people can do to these kinds of popularity contests. So, as a

Port to C#
Hello, I'm new to this mailing list. I have some interest in implementing Markdown in C#. Two quick questions: 1. Has this already been done in an open-source implementation? 2. If not, am I stepping on any toes by writing my own? The source code would be freely available. My main goal would be a cool article for Black Belt Coder. Cheers! Jonathan Wood Black Belt Coder

Using XY location data to calculate ecological parameters
Dear R gurus, I have XY data giving the locations of tree seedlings that were surveyed during a 210 meter belt transect. This belt transect was taken by stretching a line across the field, then measuring all seedlings within 1 meter on either side of the line. The end result was XY coordinates and height for ~1,300 seedlings. I would like to use that data to calculate density of

CentOS 7
Greetings all, just wondering if anyone knows if / when there will be training materials for RHEL 7 (CEntOS7) available? The last book I was able to purchase was the study guide for the RHSCA / RHCE exam, (by Michal Jang!) Does anyone know if / when the next versions will be out? I'd like to go through it all with the latest and not "last years model" under my belt! Thanks!

Permission denied (publickey,password,keyboard-interactive)
Hello, I have recently downloaded and compiled openssh-3.7.1p2 on both HP-UX 10.20 and HP-UX 11.00. The compile went fine. Logging in on the system used for the build works fine. However, logging in on a different system (where the newly compiled openssh is installed) results in the following error: Permission denied (publickey,password,keyboard-interactive). I have tried several things I

ssh timeout
Hello, I am wondering if there is any way I can get ssh to timeout (return) if nothing is entered when prompted for a password? I understand there is a LoginGraceTime value that can be used in the sshd_config file, but that still doesn't make ssh return (exit) when no password is ever entered. The command just hangs until a <return> is pressed. Is there any way to make it return

[PATCH] xen/Rules.mk: Do not dance about pointlessly with CFLAGS_tmp
It is usually better to use `='' in Makefiles than `:=''. The expansion rules for `:='' are simpler - so simple in fact that they don''t work if any part of the expansion depends on the source or target filenames. In this patch we remove the shuffling of the value of CFLAGS between := and = flavour variables. This was previously `necessary'' because

LDAP issues with 3.8.1p1
Hello, I have recently compiled and installed release 3.8.1p1. This was done on a Solaris 8 system using LDAP as its naming service. The new release, however, will not let me log in (as a regular user). I repeatedly get "Permission denied, please try again" messages. The root user, though, can log in okay. The same thing happened with the 3.7.1p2 release. The 3.6.1p1 release
