plspm package error in data frame
...ill not seem ignorant in this post. I am currently using the plspm package by Gaston Sanchez accompanied by his text book. I have attempted to create a square matrix, which has seemed successful. I used the following code: > "Attitude" = c(1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0) > "Normative Beliefs" = c(1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0) > "Subjective Norm" = c(0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0) > "Control Beliefs" = c(1, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0) > "Perceived Behavioural Control" = c(0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0) > "Intention" = c(0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 0) > &q...

The undef story
...h those examples are illegal C programs. They are both “undefined behavior” because they both use a shift amount that is too large. They both should have been rejected by the compiler even though they weren’t. Hal agrees wth this assessment, That’s why we’re waiting for a more complete example. My belief is that undefined behavior is an optimization hazard, Not an optimization opportunity. Its just a belief, I could be proved Wrong at any moment, but it feels right to me. I would start looking for a more complete example myself, but my Belief is so strong that "optimizing undefined behavior&...

winbind/samba across subnet bounderies?
...ey are not joined to the domain. Both 'join procedures' where successfully completed. The samba server in the server subnet is working fine and seems healthy. but the one in the workstation subnet can not verify his secret with wbinfo -t. it returns 'bad secret'. The error code (I belief) is 0x22c. I started winbind with debugging and from the output I got the impressing that there is some issure with locateing the PDC, wbinfo beliefes it is down. Has someone seen this behaviour before and can help me?

RFC: Should the default LLVM build be deterministic?
...non-deterministic. Meaning if you clean and build again the binaries are not identical. This impacts all target platforms equally and is caused by the default value of LLVM_ENABLE_TIMESTAMPS being On. I believe this is incorrect behavior, and I’m curious what the wider community thinks. It is my belief that the default LLVM configuration (meaning no options specified) should be deterministic, and that any option in our build/configuration system that can impact determinism should be disabled by default. I would like to hold this as a central requirement for build system changes. Thoughts? -Chri...

re cognizing patterns
DeaRs, i'm looking for some references on a statement as follows: "Humans are good at spotting trends and patterns in data, but they are also good at spotting those patterns where none really exist". This is not verbatim but there must be some scholarly work on this. I can't remember where I came across it - perhaps I dreamed it up? Help, anyone? Best wishes Paul -- View this

G.722 over ISDN PRI/BRI
...SDN Channels in Asterisk and they all seem to be hard- codec to aLaw/uLaw G.711. It looks as though chan_capi *might* support bridging of G.722 data from one ISDN port to another, but not routing to any other source/transcoding/passing to voicemail. So I guess my question is, am I correct in the belief that all Asterisk's ISDN channels currently don't support anything other than G.711? How easy would it be to extend one of the ISDN channels to support G.722? Cheers, Simon
