centos 7 will not install :(
Please ... any info on how
to proceed???
After I made sure it had the correct sha256sum,
and after I burned it to DVD, and and dd'd the DVD
back to a temp file and again checked the sha256sum
of the temp file, all was OK. Same sha256sum.
So, I rebooted the machine and it booted up from
the DVD.
I got a message that it was not using VNC,
Then after that immediately an error came out

centos 7 will not install :(
I did see your post.
So, even though the sha256sum was perfect on the iso file and on the DVD,
it failed to install.
I then used a usb flash drive and booted the flash drive to do the install.
It also failed.
The screen image I took with my camera can be viewed at

The questions I have are:
why VNC ??? VNC is a horribly insecure protocol.
Why would I want

LDA null logging patch
I don't really need logging of successful local deliveries since the MTA
provides enough data. I can't get rid of LDA delivery logs by setting
deliver_log_format =
All this does is produce an empty log message e.g.

Timo, would you consider inclusion of this patch which will skip
logging deliveries if deliver_log_format is empty:

IPv6: What You Need to Know Now
Yes, the thanksgiving holiday is here (in the USA)! But also, the fear
of running out of IP addresses next year has raised its ugly head and
since we don't do Thanksgiving in Europe, we have some serious talking
to do about this problem.
This Friday at 12 Noon EST, Olle Johansson will be joining us to
describe the state of the migration to IP v6 in VoIP-dom. Olle (@oej)
needs no introduction.

SAMBA DNS interfaces set to br0
On a machine with virtual networking is enabled and two ether net
controllers eth0/192.168.1.2 and eth1/192.168.1.3 and having SAMBA smb.conf
set to:
dns interfaces = lo br0
is there a chance for:
1) The system not to boot with DNS working
2) The DNS server bounce between eth0 and eth1
3) The DNS server portion work on boot sometimes on eth0, but when software
restarted only work on eth1 or

changing motherboards. kernel panic.
Hi,
I just changed the motherboard of a centos 4.4 installation for a new one.
this new one has a SIS chipset.
Now when i boot from the hard disk i get a kernel panic (unable to find
root, no hdd found , etc)
I have identified the module I need to load to make centos "see" the disks.
Now the question is what do I need to modify in my existing installation, to
tell centos to use the new

Kernel-loadable Root Kits
Thanks for the module, I think its a good idea to commit it to FreeBSD
for a few reasons:
1) Some folks just prefer more static kernels.
2) Securelevel is a great thing, but can be a pain to do upgrades around
remotely. [A lot of folks use FreeBSD simply because its a breeze to run
remotely].
3) Until someone writes code to add modules to a kernel via /dev/mem and
releases it to the script

Anyone noticed Voipjet voice quality problems?
Dear all,
I've noticed some significant voice quality deterioration when calling US
landline via VoIPjet.com in the last week or so.
Before that the quality was pretty good.
Has anyone else experienced any voice quality problems with voipjet
recently?
Thanks,
Roman
