...ffice's file the Vista clients open with MS Office 2003 are read only. I think it is a file lock issue because went I disable the file lock at the NFS mount or in Samba smb.conf file. Hello Folks, I want to install new version of samba but have already old version of samba which came with Linux 8.0. Please advise, I want to install new version of samba ... How would I un-install old version which came with Linux8.0 ? Do i really need to do so, in order to install new version of samba ?
