When Upgrading Wine
So, version .16 has come out and I wouldn't mind upgrading. The thing is, I have to patch my Wine source code for a particular game. I guess I have to remove the Wine version I have now, patch the .16 and compile the source code? If there is another way, please let me know.
Though, my main question is if I uninstall Wine, will it take thing installed with it; I mean, does .wine still exist

Is Samba 3 stable for Mandrake 9.2?
Not to be the annoying child, but I have found myself uniquely annoyed
that I can't update RPMs that include Samba 3, and I'm not certain if
that's because it's even ready for Mandrake 9.2. Does anyone have a
bead on this? Should I just go back to 2.2.8 and wait for the stable,
or can someone point out a URL that has a stable 3.0 on it?
Thanks
Eric

OT - What are these crazy messages?
I'm just dying to know what the origin of these messages with the txt
attachments is. I get quite a few here, and even some in other mailing
lists. But they're all unique; the attachment filename starts with ATT
(followed by four or five digits), and are 192 bytes long. The senders
are often different.
Anyone got a bead on this?

This system was migrated form samba-3 NT to samba-4 AD. The A-Record of
the DNS-Domain pointed to the web-server which is placed on an other
server.

Thanks that was what I wanted to know. There are some rules in life
that you have to accept. That's one of those :-)

Support vector model?
Dear All,
Apologies for sending this email to both list, but at this point I'm not
sure which one could help me the most.
I have 4 sets of data, 1 test and 3 different sets of controls.
The measurements are binary, with a matrix of 0 and 1
I'm measuring across time (rows, ~815) the behaviour of organelles in
the cell by microscopy in response to different stimuli (several

Read .idat Illumina files in R
Dear Bioc and R List Users,
I am having trouble analysing illumine data generated from BeadScan. I have .idat files and JPEG images. I realise that i need bead-level summary data to be able to begin quality control followed by normalization. Is there a way i can read .idat files for expression analysis or do i need to go back to BeadScan and generate .txt files/tiff files ?
Appreciate any help

Query: SELECT "INBOX" permission denied
Yesterday I was forced to migrate servers due to a hardware failure. I
have been able to bring up my mail server, and set up Squirrelmail and
Dovecot. I am able to access (via Squirrelmail) all users' mail except
one - which happens to be my wife's, so it would be really helpful if I
could get that working too. I am able to log in, but see the following

Debugging help: BUG: Assertion failure with ext3-0.95 for 2.4.7
Hello ext3-developers,
Just to summarize, I reported a kernel bug message with ext3 on S/390 in
transaction.c. I was able to reproduce it with a ext3 on LVM and on MD.
Tom Rini reported a similar problem on PPC. (both big endian). I have sent
a backtrace and with jbd-debug set to 5 I was not able to reproduce the
problem until now.
On S/390 there are some more debug possibilities. I would

CentOS-4.4: I likke the new look! ... uh and everyhing's good too.
Downloaded 290/290 and kernel panic, not syncing. Same old Linux.
Fortunately, hadn't started updates, /home had been unmounted by some
forward-looking individual and there was a sync;sync and blockdev --
flushbufs running every 15 seconds. =>:-o
Pucker factor went from {O} to {o} to }{ the max!
Anyway, a quick reboot, fsck, split the check-update into 2 arbitrary
pieces and do it again.

creating standard curves for ELISA analysis
Hi 1Rnwb,
I am a technical support for Hitachi Solutions and I saw your post regarding
ELISA analysis. When I opened up your .csv file, I noticed it was a Luminex
file from the Data Collector 1.7 software. My company developed a multiplex

Query on connecting 3G MSC with Asterisk PBX Server via SIP Interface.
Hello,
I am new to Asterisk forum :).

I wanted to know if I require SIP licenses to integrate 3G MSC with my Asterisk server.

Changing the A-Record of the domain.
Hi,
after installing a samba-4.8.9 AD-Server there is/are an A-Records
created for the domain delivering the ip-address(es) of the AD-server.
This ip can be changed vie "samba-tool dns update" but after restarting
the AD-server the ip-address of the server will be added again.
Can this be prohibited or is this necessary to the functionality of the
AD-server.
Thanks!

corruption. Applications may be affected.

Integration of functions with a vector argument
Hello all,
I have a question concerning integration of a function of a multivariate argument with respect to one or more variables in r. Let us say we have a function
F <- function(x){ body of the function}
Where x is, in general, a d by 1 vector with d>1. Now I want to integrate out some of the coordinates of x, e.g. x[1] or x[2] or both of them etc. I'm well aware of how to
