U32 Port Range
Hi all...
How do i set U32 to filter a port range, instead of a single port?
In normal use: source port 80 we use: "... match ip sport 80 0xffff ..."
- I know that is something about the 0xffff parameter....
I need to filter ports 1 ~ 1024 to a higher priority class... i tried with
IPTABLES MARK and TC FW, but it''s not working....

Dsync deleting mailboxes due to duplicate UIDs
Hi,
I am attempting to migrate a mailspool from a cyrus server to a dovecot
server using the dsync backup approach as described in the wiki at
<https://wiki.dovecot.org/Migration/Dsync>.
The first attempt works great. Everything copies over and a quick glance
over the spool looks good.
Running doveadm backup again though results in the following error:

Fwd: RE New xanto driver for NUT
Dear Andreas,
some googling revealed, you created a driver for the xanto series of
online-usv.de. In what state it is currently?
I've to manage a S2000 and would like to use nut for it, is it usable by
now? Do you need another tester?
TIA,
Pete

...CBQ-wondershaper over HTB-wondershaper? We have not been using wondershaper specifically but our simple tests so far seem to show that htb is much easier to configure for a given target shape (i.,e accurate) compared to CBQ.

4 important bugs again <;
hello everyone,
thanks to todd 1.2.21 is out :)
every release getting better, i would like to get
consensus on these "important" bugs:
#252078 logtail: should depend on perl >= 5.8
sarge as any other modern linux distro use perl 5.8.x,
it's even inside of its base.
backports are under the peril of its author
if no one voices up, i'll close that bug in the next days.

LMTP tcp listener with auth?
I am wondering if it's possible to have a tcp listener for LMTP do
authentication and not accept any unauthenticated mail.
My configuration looks like the following:
service lmtp {
inet_listener lmtp {
address = 192.168.0.1 127.0.0.1
port = 24
}
}
This gives me a network reachable lmtp socket, but of course no
autentication. When reading the docs, it seems though that only

Bummer. Thought so.

The port is currently only available to a few trusted machines, but having auth
available would have been a nice benefit in case the firewall

Restrict access to certain ips.
Hello,
I have a machine with several ips. My goal is to only allow access to one ip
for a certain user. for example 192.168.1.11 may only be used by UID 1001
I have found in the man page for bind following errno numeric:
> EACCES The address is protected, and the user is not the super-user.
Is it possible to restrict access to certain ips to certain uids?

Hello,
I'm getting compile errors on AIX 5.1,
not defining WITH_AIXAUTHENTICATE in config.h seems to solve the problem.
I have configured with --syscondir=/etc/ssh and --with-ssl-dir=/usr/local/ssl
and I am using gcc 2.95.3
The error messages is included below.

Aborted dsync backup and resulting fallout
Hi,
I am in the middle of setting up a dovecot imap server to replace an aging
cyrus imapd.
The new server is using mdbox storage for better filesystem performance
and is running dovecot-2.2.32.
To migrate email over and keep UIDs etc. intact I used the backup feature
of doveadm. During testing this generally worked fine. So thanks for that
functionality, it really makes migration much

lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox override
Hi,
I have a dovecot 2.3.2.1 instance running here that is getting userdb and
passdb data from a SQL database. This was a cyrus server migrated over and
all users are happy.
All users except one: Said user asked if it would be possible to disable
subaddressing (localuser+folder at example.com) again.
The setting controlling that is AFAIK the lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox
item.
My idea was to
