Hi, I'm using samba-2.0.6-19991110 on Redhat 6.1 in order to mount a NT-filesystem. The mount command is: smbmount //ISDN/CoTel /mnt/NT-Bank/ -o username=serv, password=serv, workgroup=WORK,uid=root, gid=users,ro everything works fine, except that after one or two days the mount disappears. A simple 'ls /mnt/NT-Bank/MCCWIN' results in 'Input/output error'. In var/log/messages I get the following info: Mar 19 07:24:58 services kernel: smb_trans2_request: result=-32, setting invalid Mar 19 07:24:58 services kernel: smb_retry: new pid=1059, generation=8 Mar 19 07:30:01 services kernel: smb_retry: signal failed, error=-3 Mar 19 07:30:01 services kernel: smb_lookup: find //MCCWIN failed, error=-5 any hint is welcome. thanks Edmund -- Edmund Mergl mailto:E.Mergl@bawue.de http://www.edmund-mergl.de
