I'm having particular issues running Veritas in my Windows environment. The agent just seems to baulk on some servers. I've looked into backup solutions running on Linux before but there doesn't seem to be much. The plan was to try to do the de-serialising in C code, but it's much easier to just pass the raw XML upwards and let Java do it; hence don't actually need full test files now anyway.
