Compare data between two groups/countries on 5-point Likert scale questionnare?
...between Chinese and German firms. According to
my literature review, it's quite obvious that German firms have much better
CSR initiatives and strategies than the Chinese ones and I wanted to test
whether it was true by sending out Likert-scale questionnaires to Chinese
and German firms through bankers in my family. I have already got 24
responses from the Chinese and 27 from the Germans and it looked quite
evident that the hypothesis is correct. Now that I am writing my analysis
chapter, I am lost as I don't know which is the best way to analyse my data
after trying to find a solution for d...

FW: Asterisk@home - requesting help on oh323, ISDN BRI and iConnectHere DID
I know almost nothing linux, and don't really know that much about Asterisk
(proper).. but I was 'pulled' by this subject and grabbed an
<mailto:Asterisk@home> Asterisk@home installation CD (version 1.3) and just
went with it. Newbie doesn't quite describe it, I'm a banker.. this simply
goes to show how easy Asterisk is becoming (I certainly hope this direction
was meant to be inviting to people like me).
I've been at this for a little over three weeks now. I've researched these
topics but have not found satisfactory answers to the following: If there

print format for difftime
Has anyone written a function that will print a difftime in the form:
hh:mm:ss
or
yy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss
depending on the actual size.
(sloppy notation for months/minutes, but surely you get the point).

round(4.5) does not work (PR#9439)
Anything that has 4.5 in it will always round to 4. For example 24.5 becomes 24 and 34.5 becomes 34. Or 1234567894.5 will become 1234567894.

Rounding like in finances
Hello,
I need to have a "kaufmaennisches Runden" function.
Is there already something like that?
It means: rounding up the 5, instead of rounding it down.
So, 245.455 would give 245.46
I found no option for this.
Maybe there is a package for it?

A different error in sample()
Good day,
The use of "rounding" also doesn't make sense. If The number is halfway between two integers, it is rounded to the nearest even integer.

How to disable R's crash prompt
Dear R devel,
I have a C++ app that calls into embedded R to perform some analytic calculations. When my app encounters a segmentation fault, R always prints the following crash prompt and asks me to enter an action:
*** caught segfault ***
address 0x8, cause 'memory not mapped'
Possible actions:
1: abort (with core dump, if enabled)
2: normal R exit
3: exit R without saving workspace
