Residential router w/ QoS support?
Did anybody ever come across an affordable, residential cable/dsl router with support for QoS? The ones I've seen so far (Netgear, D-Link and W-Linx) do not seem to support it. I noticed that even email can damage a G.711 stream on an 128kbit uplink, leave alone file-sharing applications. I understand this is strictly related to *, but nevertheless of interest to many of us. Thilo

Re: Minimal Samba
Alex, I suspect you wont get far on this list with this type of question. Just reading the docs would have told you the answer to this ; http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/FastStart.html#id2463782 What I wanted was a mix of share and user level security but I dont think thats possible. A few Speex AEC+preprocessor examples
The echo suppression in SVN is shaping up quite nicely! I have also observed some - occasional, apparently data-dependent - misbehaviour in AGC. http://www.surfnonstop.com/~bandit/speex/echocard1/

speex
Hi, I am using speex-1.2 beta1 version. When I am using sample files from http://www.surfnonstop.com/~bandit/speex/echocard1/ ,example 6, as input to mdf through testecho the output is fine However when I am recording the signals in echocancel.cxx in OpalEchoCanceler::ReceivedPacket taking speaker signal from echo_buf and mike signal from ref_buf, echo cancellation is not affective. Can you please t...

Fuzzy searching using act_as_ferret
...ning all the results I need from two models using "id_multi_search" and combining the results in the view using a couple of partials. Is there any way that I can turn on fuzzy searching? Would fuzzy searching pick up basic spelling mistakes such as "Bnadit" instead of "Bandit" my experience with search technology is quite limited. speex-1.2beta1 AEC garbles up audio unless compiled with --enable-fixed-point
I'll try to make some shorter samples later, but for now here are the ones I have tried with: http://www.surfnonstop.com/~bandit/speex/1.2beta1_AEC_garble/ The original recordings are in mic.raw and spk.raw.
