..although I have been running samba successfully for years, today I was unable to answer a simple question. How can you ask the samba server to list all the clients in the current domain? i.e. what a PC does when you click on Network Neighborhood. I tried a few obvious things and got nowhere.. browse.dat is almost empty (despite being the domain master), nmblookup won't tell.. ..help!

hello everyone, I've been testing the NUT solution as opposed to the undocumented LanSafe application to control my Eaton UPS. I am on a Slackware 13.37 system with a 2.6.37.6 kernel. It now appears to me that GParted's reporting of the status of the per-partition "bootable" flags may have been right all along, *but* if that is true, then the BIOS of my GA-M55Plus-S3G motherboard has some *really* serious drain bamage, because if there is a mass storage device connected to this motherboard via USB and if that device has an MBR partition table and only one partition, and if the "bootable" flags for that one partition, as reported by GParted, is *set*, then the BIOS on this motherboard will, paradoxical...
