reading formatted txt file into a data frame
Dear all Lets say I have a plain text file as follows: > cat(c("[ID: 001 ] [Writer: Steven Moffat ] [Rating: 8.9 ] Doctor Who", + "[ID: 002 ] [Writer: Joss Whedon ] [Rating: 8.8 ] Buffy", + "[ID: 003 ] [Writer: J. Samba suddenly not working, and all I did was change hard drives!
...3.0.9-2.3. Now, it was time to upgrade hard drives in the RAID controller, to create a 200 gb container (rather than the 100 gb container we had). So, hard drives were changed, and all our good data dropped right back on the new drives. All looked good. The clients can see the domain controller (Babylon), browse the domain (SVS), read and write files, etcetera. But they cannot join the domain! As an aside, browsing the domain is recorded in the SAMBA logs on the server, but requests to join the domain are not. 1: The Babylon SAMBA server is physically the exact same machine, configured the ex...

Best Wine Front-End
Hello I was wondering what are the best Wine Front-Ends. PlayonLinux is excellent with games that is for sure... But when I try to install the copy I bought of Babylon Pro 9 a few years ago, when I try to push the dictionaries I simply can't... So I would like to know what is the most friendly front-end in order to install applications that need patches and updates (in this case my babylon michaelis dictionaries, which need to be installed on the directory as...

CyberPower PR3000LCDRTXL2U and NUT 2.8.0 - mute?

I can send the PR3000LCDRTXL2U a beeper.disable or beeper.mute via upscmd, and upsc dutifully reports ups.beeper.status: disabled, but it keeps beeping. The CyberPower(s) I have had in the past all have the battery check that cannot be turned off and when the batteries are actually "dead" the unit will kill the load to everything every time it runs the check. BackupExec 8.5/NT + Samba 2.2
Hi, Does anyone have experience with BackupExec and Samba? BackupExec refuse to access Samba shares. Windows shares are OK, but all my Samba shares are not. I have Samba on at least 2 Linux 2.4 machines + 1 on Solaris. Neither ones work with BExec. Any idea? Other have experience with BExec and Samba?
