Key fingerprint feature request
Hi, Does anyone know what algorithm the commercial ssh-2.3.0 uses to display the key fingerprints ? On the manual it says the algorithm is 'bubble babble' but I didn't find out how to actually create this bubble string (I guess I could find out from the sources). I think that it would be a nice option if OpenSSH could print out the host keys fingerprint in same format as the

form questions
I have a very simple form that looks allows an input for an error code and then give the show page from the scaffolding if the error code is in the database and a notification on the list page, again from the scaffolding if not. Here''s the form: find.rhtml <h1>Find error</h1> <%= start_form_tag :action => ''search''%> <p><label

Fair comparison
I was trying to do a little searching to see if there has even been a comparison between Asterisk and VOCAL or any of the other OSS packages? "Practical Voice Over IP using VOCAL" published by O'Reilly and Associates, attempts to make a strong case about how scalable VOCAL. Of course, considering that the book is written by the makers of VOCAL, it tends to have a one sided slant.

add'on : MGE Ellipse 800 USBS & FreeBSD
Hi again, As a followup to my previous post, just a couple words to add a comment on the numerous tests I did the past days. It was necessary to increase the waiting time in the /etc/ rc.shutdown, to wipe out the remaining problems (ups didn't shut down). # a rather large sleep to insure the ups stop babbling sleep 20 It appears the ups needs more than 20 seconds to

Need sub for virtual box
...irtual Box bug 7606 is causing a customer of mine serious financial harm. http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/7607#comment:3 I have tried in vain month or month over month to get Oracle to sell me a tech support contract, so that we can get some priority on this issue. No joy. I just get psycho babbled all over about "Reaching out to me". I have had it. Is there a good replacement for Virtual Box? requirements: 1) must run on CentOS 5.x as the host 2) must support Windows Server 2008 32 bit sp2 (not R2) as a guest 3) must support Supermicro X8SAX motherboard 4) must support t...

Carbonite on Wine?
Is it forseeably possible to get Carbonite Online Backup running in Wine? This is something I've wanted to get working in Wine for quite a while now and have tried to do so every now and then (I think as far back as last year). Just now bringing this to the forums. I tried it again today and earlier this week with Wine 1.3.35. Nothing visible other than endless babbling outputting from

Star Wars Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast running very slowly.
The above. Jedi Outcast installed, and ran to the startup screen as normal. Movies played at a reasonable speed. However, the main menu was incredibly slow. I tried changing various settings to LOW, without luck. I searched and found something about running it in 24- bit mode instead of 16-bit mode, but that did not help either, because a) there was no 24-bit mode, and b) 32-bit mode was no

R-alpha: select.frame
Here's the select.frame() function I babbled about before. Suggestions about coding style, etc., are welcome, I feel a bit green at this. select.frame<- function (dfr, ...) { subst.exp <- function(e) { for (i in 2:length(e)) { ei <- e[[i]] if (is.call(ei))...

ACK from asterisk not matched to transaction by SER / LCS2005
For reasons unknown to me, SER and subsequently a Microsoft Live Communcations Server 2005 seems to have problems, matching a SIP ACK request from asterisk to the ongoing SIP transaction, I have attached the complete log, but the essential lines are: 13(2894) DEBUG: RFC3261 transaction matching failed 13(2894) DEBUG: t_lookup_request: no transaction found 13(2894) SER: forwarding ACK

SSH connection hang after upgrade
I recently had to upgrade my version of OpenSSH from 4.7 to 5.0p1 on my MacBook (Darwin). I installed the latest 'portable' tarball and removed the system version: $ ssh -V OpenSSH_5.0p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7l 28 Sep 2006 $ which ssh /usr/bin/ssh sshd is the same version, installed in /usr/sbin/sshd. Now, things are a bit broken: I am able to ssh from another machine into my MacBook, so the

Help with Intel 6235 Wireless on CentOS 7 (pointer to good reading?)
Dear Experts, I would like to ask your advise on good reading about how to add WiFi device, and how to control its settings on CentOS. Sounds really dumb, but this is what I am NOT able to do on CentOS 7 what I was able to do in the past, beginning somewhere since RedHat 5 or 6, through Fedora and up to CentOS 6. In brief: my card is Intel 6235; CentOS 7 (fully updatted), latest kernel

AW: Why the commotion about file extensions?
Well, I only recently subscribed to this mailing list and do not know all the history of this extension debate (I passed up on reading the hundreds of messages that seem to have been written about this topic). I just wanted to make one quick point: from my experience, the average user does not know about file formats, only about content (my experience stems from working for ashampoo
