using function boot
Dear R Users, I am trying to use the function boot of the boot package to sample from a dataframe of two character variables (N=1127). Each character variable can take five different values. Here is an example of the data: 1 b95-99.9 d25% 2 b95-99.9 a1% 3 b95-99.9 a1% 4 b95-99.9 a1% 5 b95-99.9 a1% 6 a>99.9 a1% 7 b95-99.9 a1% 8 b95-99.9 a1% 9 b95-99.9 a1% 10 b95-99.9 a1% The statistic I want to use is the median polish (I...

CF to SATA adapters for boot device
Has anyone here had any luck using a CF to SATA adapter? I''ve just tried an Addonics ADSACFW CF to SATA adaptor with an 8GB card that I wanted to use for a boot pool and even though the BIOS reports the disk, Solaris B95 (or the installer) doesn''t see it. I might give the IDE version a go (I really wanted hoT-plug), otherwise I''ll be able to store a couple of thousand photos in my camera... Cheers, Ian.

Problem w/ b95 + ZFS (version 11) - seeing fair number of errors on multiple machines
Hi, After upgrading to b95 of OSOL/Indiana, and doing a ZFS upgrade to the newer revision, all arrays I have using ZFS mirroring are displaying errors. This started happening immediately after ZFS upgrades. Here is an example: ormandj at neutron.corenode.com:~$ zpool status pool: rpool state: DEGRADED status: One or more...

Unable to import zpool since system hang during zfs destroy
Hi all, I have a RAID-Z zpool made up of 4 x SATA drives running on Nexenta 1.0.1 (OpenSolaris b85 kernel). It has on it some ZFS filesystems and few volumes that are shared to various windows boxes over iSCSI. On one particular iSCSI volume, I discovered that I had mistakenly deleted some files from the FAT32 partition that is on it. The files were still in a ZFS snapshot that was made earlier

corrupt zfs stream? checksum mismatch
Hi Folks, I''m in the very unsettling position of fearing that I''ve lost all of my data via a zfs send/receive operation, despite ZFS''s legendary integrity. The error that I''m getting on restore is: receiving full stream of faith/home at 09-08-08 into Z/faith/home at 09-08-08 cannot receive: invalid stream (checksum mismatch) Background: I was running snv_91,

R-help Digest, Vol 67, Issue 31
Gru? Luis [[alternative HTML versio...
