Dovecot Director upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3
...r 2.2 with 2.3 version. >> > > There's no known reason why it wouldn't work. But be prepared in case > there is an unknown reason. Hi, one server of the ring is now running Dovecot 2.3.7 and works fine with the others Dovecot 2.2 since 3 days. I notice only that the load avarage of this CentOS 7 server is higher compared with CentOS 6 and Dovecot 2.2, but I don't know if is related to the new operating system or Dovecot (hardware is the same). If I do not encounter problems in the next days I will also update the other Directors. Thanks -- Alessio Cecchi Postma...

Print configuration question?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Actually determined this was a CUPS issue. I split the CUPS and Samba servers, system load on the Samba box now averages about 0.3 while load average on the CUPS system is about 0.8 or 1. Dovecot optimisation
Hello all. We start to use Dovecot at our email production but it runs not such fast as we expect. We use Dell 2950 with 4GbRAM at FreeBSD-7.0-p9 - load avarage never upper a 0.5 We have about 500 clients most of it use Outlook 2007 via IMAP. We run in this problems: 1) Sync of imap folder is really slow(I think it is Outlook problem) 2) Time after time we got Sync error from outlook 3) Time after time our monitoring system says what IMAP port not answ...

Dovecot Director upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3
Hi, I have a setup with 3 Dovecot Director v2.2.36 and director_consistent_hashing = yes ;-) Now I would like to upgrade to 2.3.7, first only Director and after also Backend. Can works fine a ring of director with mixed 2.2 and 2.3 version? Mi idea is to setup a new Director server with 2.3, stop one server with 2.2 and insert the new 2.3 in the current ring to check if works fine. If all

I don't know the exact reason bu I assume dovecot is regenerate everybody's index a other cache at the same time. is there any way to reduce the possible number of IO load? this would be...

Debugging system load - How to start?

The System: Intel Pentium D 3.20GHz, 8 GB RAM, 3Ware 4*320GB Sata II Raid Level 5, Gigabit LAN. Red Hat EL 5.4 (still 32 Bit) About 700 Users, 1GB Mailboxquota (mbox), Webmail-System Horde, an avarage of 3.200 messages per day over the last 12 Month. The Services and setup: Dovecot imap(s) & pop3(s), mailscanner, spamassassin, mysql, bind, httpd, sendmail. Because there are so many config parameters I'll summarise this a little bit. Mails are checked agains two blacklists (heise.de...

ZFS ontop of SVM - CKSUM errors
...rs, use ''-v'' for a list bash-3.00# Disks are from Clariion CX3-40 with FC 15K disks using MPxIO (2x 4Gb links). I was changing watermarks for cache on the array and now I wonder - the array or SVM+ZFS? I''m a little bit suspicious about SVM as I can get ~80MB/s only on avarage with short burst upto ~380MB/s (no matter if it''s ZFS, UFS or directly raw-device) which is much much less than ZFS (and on x4500 I can get ~2GB/s read with SVM). No errors in logs, metastat is clear. Of course fmdump -e reports errors from zfs but it''s expected. So I destroyed...

Icecast server terminates
Hello Everybody, I am new to this list, maybe boring and annoying questions will be asked from you, but please help me if you can. :) I have a problem with the icecast server version 1.3.11. I am running it on a RedHat linux 7.0 box, with my own C++ program that uses the libshout development library (1.0.5). My program connects to the icecast server and feeds it continously with mp3 data.

High CPU on multiple syncs on Win2K
Hi all, Allow me to quickly sketch our backup situation: we have about 40 sites. On each site there's a Rsync client on an NT machine (Cygwin). In the main site we have a huge Win2K fileserver which acts as a Rsync server. I'm doing tests now with syncing the volumes of several Netware servers on the sites (to which the Rsync NT clients have a mapping) to the Win2K server. Initially we
