FTS autoindex problem
I tried to implement a solr search server, but I found some unexpected behaviour when I turn on
autoindex according to http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/FTS.
I found that all autoindexed email are using "user1 at example.com" as username, as shown in maillog:
indexer-worker(user1 at example.com): Indexed 1 messages in INBOX
However, all manually indexed email (triggered by IMAP server search) are using "user1" as username,
as shown in maillog:

FTS autoindex username problem
...olr, and
turned on autoindexing according to http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/FTS, but I found a strange
behaviour that cause server search missing some emails.
Here is the login information of my mail server:
login name: user1
email: user1 at example.com
Now, when I turned on autoindexing, all autoindexed email are indexed using user1 at example.com as
username key, as shown in maillog:
dovecot: [ID 12345 mail.info] indexer-worker(user1 at example.com): Indexed 1 messages in INBOX
But when I triggered on-demand indexing using IMAP server search, the emails are indexed using user1
as username key...

the local users (myself, my wife, a friend) can authenticate EITHER as
<username> or <username>@lerctr.org.
switching to all virtual users is NOT going to happen.
If I login to roundcube with <user>@lerctr.org it finds the
autoindexed mail.
So, if I make everyone always authenticate as <user>@lerctr.org we should
be fine.
and change my script to do doveadm -u <user>@<domain> instead of depending
on the local user running the cron job.
question: Is there some way to have dovecot change what it sees to be

Solr 4.0 - lucene - FTS
Hi Timo,
As one who is interested in implementing FTS sometime in the future, I'm
curious about what is in store as far as improvements go...
Specifically, any plans for implementing immediate/automatic index
updates at delivery time? The lack of automatically updated indexes is
one downside for its implementation...
Also, does the release of Solr 4.0 mean anything for the lucene library

Is it a bug when you move mail between namespaces....
It works for me. I don't know why it wouldn't work for you. Looking at the autoindexing code I don't see how it could be possible that it works for saving but not copying.

It always shows the autoindex. And yes built from sources. I'm the FreeBSD port maintainer for mail/docecot. This has been happening for several releases.
