burning oggs to audiocd

Why on earth does every software author "invent" his own plugin system ? The Direct/Active-Show/X/Movie subsystem in windows can deal with all existing file formats both for reading and writing. Only one ogg/vorbis plugin would have

Vorbis / Delphi Question
Hi all. I just downloaded the vorbisdll_bin.zip file from the archive, which appears to be the complete libvorbis in DLL format. This is wonderful news, as I was trying to convert the C library to a Delphi library by hand, and it was very slow in going. The only question I have is has anyone translated the necessary structures from C to Delphi yet? I noticed in the list that someone

Spurious DTMF recognition problems.
Hi, in asterisk 1.6.2.16 I get spurious DTMF recognition over SIP from an Audiocodes. I think the DTMF recognition is the Audiocdes' fault, the Audiocodes log seems to say so as well, but I want to make sure, and fixing the Audiocodes is not an option in this particular case - don't ask. Can someone explain to me what the following means *exactly* [Feb 10 21:15:40] DTMF[2538] channel.c: DTMF begin 'A' received...

Easiest CD --> Vorbis
What's the easiest single step command to use cdparanoia & oggenc to convert a CD straight into oggs without sucking a ton of disk space for WAVs in the meantime? Is it possible to do it so that the WAV rip resides in memory and only the ogg gets written to disk? They are designed to use in Grip. w_oggenc: Call this instead of oggenc in Grip with the command-line: "%A" "%d" "%t" "%a" "%n" "%y" "%G" "%i" Now you can put additional info in the

new vorbisenc behaviour
Just got around to compiling RC3 under beos and came across an anomaly when using managed bitrates. I haven't changed the code for the beos encoder but I now get double the bitrates so vorbis_encode_init(&vi,mediaFormat.u.raw_audio.channel_count,(long)mediaFormat.u.raw_audio.frame_rate , -1, 128000, -1); now gives me vorbis files that average around 325 - 350. Is this now the correct

Audio CD problem on laptop VGN-SZ61MN
Is there anyone out there who has installed FreeBSD on the above Sony laptop ? Both ''cat filename > /dev/dsp0.0'' or ''vlc cdda:///dev/acd0@1 are OK. If I run ''cdcontrol -f /dev/acd0 play'', there is no sound. But the output of ''cdcontrol -f /dev/acd0 status audio'' is alright. (same behaviour for cd0 instead of acd0) And the output
