"LAPACK routine DGESDD gave error code -12" with Debian (PR#2822)
Dear All, Under Debian GNU/Linux La.svd (with method = "dgesdd") sometimes gives the error "Error in La.svd(data, nu = 0, nv = min(nrow, ncol), method = "dgesdd") : LAPACK routine DGESDD gave error code -12" It seems not to depend on the data per se, but on the relationship between numbers of rows and columns. For example, if the number of columns is 100,

Hi all, We recently upgrade from CentOS 5.8 to CentOS 5.9 on kernel-xen-2.6.18-348.3.1.el5, and after booting into the new kernel, noted large amounts of these messages every second or so in the logs: Mar 30 21:38:35 atlas2 kernel: Warning Timer ISR/0: Time went backwards: delta=-1393683849 delta_cpu=22316151 shadow=225003685197135 off=129240997 processed=225005208029053 cpu_processed=225003792029053 On both the dom0 and the domUs. mixed model for Splus and R
Hi there, I try to compare the mixed model package "lme" by Splus and R. I used the dataset "Ovary" and the following code assuming AR(1) model for the error term: lme(follicles ~ sin(2*pi*Time) + cos(2*pi*Time), data=Ovary, random = pdDiag(~sin(2*pi*Time) ) , correlation=corAR1() ) But I got different results! And then I used a simpler model: lme(follicles ~
