Shutting down WinXP Pro instance
Recently I set up a PDC (Fedora 12 - I'm using this for a specific reason) using Samba 3.4.9 and OpenLDAP 2.4.19; I named my domain ATHOME. I am trying to figure out how to shut down WinXP Pro remotely and I'm not having any luck. Up to this point I have tried the following:
- I used ATHOME\root which is the admin acct I used to join XP to my domain. I added ATHOME\root to my workstation's Administrators group.
- I...

Win 7 profiles
I?ve got a laptop running Win 7 Pro registered with my Samba/OpenLDAP PDC and it seems to not be handling roaming profiles properly when I reboot and log in. More often than not, it would take a long time logging in because it would recreate entirely new profile trees (eg. jtseng.ATHOME, jtseng.ATHOME.001, jtseng.ATHOME.002, jtseng.ATHOME.003 and so on). Could someone clue me in as to why this may be happening?
Thanks,

Updating keywords on copy/move
...rns.
Now, before activating core dumps and starting to do some serious
debugging and reverse engineering, I ask: do I have to do something
extra such as opening a transaction or something? Isn't the notify
plugin supposed to do that already?
Thanks for your help!

core dump
Here is a nasty one: (0.65.1 on linux)
> plot(c(1,2,3,4),c(2,4,6,8),log="Y")
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
[ml at athome ml]$
Seems the bug is in errorcall().
yes, I know the syntax is wrong, but it is an easy mistake
to make and it is inconvenient to lose the work space at times.

[PLUGIN] Virtual keywords (aka Gmail-like labels)
Hello list,
I'm new here and since I've been working on a plugin lately I though
I'd post it here.
It's GPL licensed, hosted on GitHub:
https://github.com/daniele-athome/dovecot-virtual-keywords-plugin
I've been trying to find a replacement for Gmail and I already have my
own mailserver. What I'm missing very much is labels. Since folders
don't really match labels, I had to implement something that at least
resembles them.
I decided to use IMAP keywo...

Samba server doesn't announce itself.
Hi
I'm running two Samba Servers on the same network.
One if the servers announces itself correctly, and I can see it
as a member of the "AtHome" workgroup from a Windows Box.
I set up a second server on the same network, but that
box does not appear to announce itself. If I added the
second server to the PC's hosts file, I can access it
by entering \\ServerName in explorer. However, it does
not show up when I browse the Windows...

Asterisk@home .05 release questions on setup.
...el your name does not do it right due to it can be used for SOHO's and other setups. It's great keep up the good work. You actually make AMP work.
P.S. one more question do you have an area in the freenode for chat? If you don't I would love to help out in it. Something like Asterisk-athome would be nice.

Good practices to make a Kerberos "mount.cifs" launched by root but with the credentials of another user
...ave well understood, I have to set the envvar KRB5CCNAME
and pass it to the mount.cifs command. So currently, I make this
in the logon script (and it _works_):
KRB5CCNAME=$(find /tmp/ -maxdepth 1 -mindepth 1 -type f -name 'krb5cc_*' -user bob)
KRB5CCNAME=$KRB5CCNAME mount.cifs //samba.athome.priv/myhome /mnt/docs/ \
-o username=bob,domain=ATHOME.PRIV,sec=krb5i,cruid=bob
But I have the feeling that I miss completely the "Kerberos" good
practices by this way.
What is the good practice to make a "mount.cifs" of a share for a
specific AD user (bob) via Kerberos...

Rates Importer Tool
Hi All,
new to the list. Wondering if anyone has / knows of, a good rate importer
tool that can be used to standardize and normalize the ratesheets / rate
decks etc. obtained from various carriers so they can be analysed and
imported into a DB or be saved as a CSV or something?
Thanks so much in advance

A200 card problem
.... Sadly, I can't
make it work- currently, asterisk will not startup because of a bad
module. Below are some log files/config files. If anyone has any
suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
I used Trixbox 2.0 and followed instructions on (http://
sangoma.editme.com/wanpipe-linux-asterisk-atHome) - no problems
running through or compiling. I also downloaded trixbox 2.0 with
sangoma drivers included directly from sangoma (http://
wiki.sangoma.com/Trixbox-1xx). I know how this list feels about
trixbox, but still, the card/configs are the same, no? Any advice is
appreciated.
