...2? asks for authentication, UA does not send it to asterisk 2, but i think it is sending it to asterisk 1. and vice versa if user is registered on asterisk 2, user? wont be able to make calls to asterisk 1. how can i disable proxy auth on the server if the user is already registered on the other astertisk. i've set, insecure=port,invite but it still asks for proxy auth. anyone encountered this? regards, Ron -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I finally decided it's been long enough using my ancient HP junker and I built a Atom 330 based machine to replace it. I've installed Centos 5, Dahdi and Asterisk 1.6.2. After a bit of struggles getting the 1.2 version files converted to 1.6 almost everything seems to be working. All my SIP lines seem to work and calls come in as expected and all my DAHDI lines work with incoming

...found the TX meter fluctuated wildly when I spoke. I could reduce my voice level slightly and it would be very low energy, but with a slight increase in volume it was pegged. The settings I made seemed to do nothing to change this (I stop asterisk, unload and reload all zaptel modules, and restart astertisk between each test). Is this really supposed to work? I've managed to get the connection extremely distorted with some settings, but have yet to make a change that improved the quality or removed the echo.
