[Asterisk-Dev] ClueCon in 2 Weeks!
ClueCon is coming in 2 weeks so we urge everyone who plans on attending to register today so we get a proper headcount! ClueCon was put together by Asterlink, the same team of people who helped shape Asterisk into what it is today by writing features, fixing bugs, offering IRC support and assisting with the management of the development effort. We have produced several real-world solutions based on Asterisk and to top it off, we have invited many of th...

Call parking in multi user environment
I'm looking for a solution for call parking in an environment where multiple users are hosted on a single instance of asterisk. The main issue being a way to keep user A from picking up calls parked by user B. I downloaded the supervaletparking code from asterlink which would appear to be a solution, but it doesn't compile on the latest CVS HEAD. I sent an email to the author just in case he wasn't aware that it stopped working at some point. I looked around and I couldn't find references to other solutions. Did I miss something or am I correc...

Fail over using CHANAVAIL
I am trying to construct a macro for long distance dialling. I have two internet feeds, I have all routes including Teliax on Internet A and a static route to Voxee on Internet B. I thought I could use the dialplan entry below which uses the ChanIsAvail() command to check the connection, but this returns the provider but not the username, so I don't understand how to use this for real

Failed Call Debugging?
...olume (say 500+ calls) a day, and I don't have any way of figuring out what is causing this. Whenever I test my script manually, I don't have the problem. Somethings that come to mind are: Lack of Server Resources, VoIP Provider issues, and Invalid Phone #'s. I doubt my VoIP provider, Asterlink, is not able to handle my volume (usually no more than 6 or 8 calls simultaneously). My server load averages are far below alarm, and I have more than 50MB of free RAM when 6 calls are going through. I have checked for invalid phone numbers, and that is not the case either. Here's a couple thi...

Explain to me VoIP termination service.
I'm confused about VoIP termination service. Would this mean that I could have an Asterisk server in my basement and receive/call PSTN phones via a VoIP termination provider? The "call" out from my box would go over the Internet to a termination provider which would in turn convert it to analog over the PSTN to someone's plain old phone? And vise-versa, a plain old phone caller

Call Parking and multiple contexts
Is there any way to define call parking parameters for different contexts? For example, if I have a client in context 100 and another client in context 200, can they both define parking positions, say, from 701-710, where 701 in context 100 is different from 701 in context 200? Or even better, can context 100 define parking positions 701-710 and context 200 define parking positions

Problem with chan_iax.c implimentation causes bad audio?
I received an e-mail from a vendor who says: "We have recently become aware of an issue in the chan_iax2 implementation of IAX2. This issue leads to degraded audio quality. Due to this we are urging everyone to move to SIP." I don't want to discount what this person is talling me, but I'm curious to know why I would only be having issues connecting to his servers, and also what

One that can be downloaded from www.loligo.com dosn't compile with 1.0.X, and SuperValletParking (www.asterlink.com/svp/) seems to be for * HEAD (1.1.X), so it wont do me any good.
