AsteriskGUI Create VoiceMenu SNAFU
Hi All, I'm new to Asterisk, but am a relatively accomplished Linux guy (RH5.1) .. I'm using the Asterisk-GUI to try and create a menu for incoming calls on an Analog Trunk. I have recorded some .WAV files for the menu, but when I try to upload the files, I get an AG101 message. So I copied the files to /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/record .. when I go to the Voice Menu Prompts

asterisk-addons compilation "error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type"
I am having trouble getting asterisk-addons 1.4.2 to compile (after a successful configure). Asterisk itself (and AsteriskGUI) compile fine. I get: cdr_addon_mysql.c: In function `handle_cdr_mysql_status': cdr_addon_mysql.c:91: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type cdr_addon_mysql.c:93: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type cdr_addon_mysql.c:95: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type c...

Asterisk Now Beta 6 and CISCO IP 7910
Dear All, Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I have just installed Asterisk Now, and it seems to be up and running with no issues on my system. The problem I am facing, is that I cannot find anywhere in the web interface, to assign phones. I have a CISCO IP phone 7910 series, and I wish for this to connect to the asterisk box. What's the best way of going about this?

MixMonitor with non-20ms packets
Hi, MixMonitor saves partial conversation when non-standard voice packet size is set (Asterisk 1.4.18.1). For example, if SIP-peer has alaw:30 then saved file would contain only 67% of total conversation. With alaw:20 MixMonitor saves 100% of conversation. It seems that MixMonitor has hardcoded "packets per second" or "samples per packet" values. I did a lot of googling, but

echo calls
Hi, Complete Asterisk noob here, I just have a few general questions I need to ask before I start installing it: If I want to setup Asterisk simply to respond to echo calls (SIP calls from a softphone only), do I need to install AsteriskNow as well, or can I simply configure dialplan to do that? Thanks, Ali

[SPAM] - Asterisk and S-Bus - Email found in subject
...nt: 28 November 2008 11:54 To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: [SPAM] - [asterisk-users] Asterisk and S-Bus - Email found in subject Hi everyone, I've built an Asterisk server (1.4.22) on a Debian Etch 4.0 base system (Kernel 2.6.18). I have so far installed AsteriskGUI and the Zaptel, libPRI and mISDN drivers. The hardware is a dual processor, dual core Xeon 2ghz (per core) server with one Digium Wildcard B410P (4 FXS - 4 FXO) and one Beronet BN2S0 ISDN card (1 TE - 1 NT). The all is working well, however I am unsure of how to configure the BN2S0 card port 2...

AddQueueMember and Flash Operator Panel
...dy on the phone, which I don't want. Obviously, the next reasonable solution would be to use some other context for the default context, and use [default] instead of [agents] for incrementing OUTBOUND_GROUP and checking GROUP_COUNT, but I'm pretty sure this would break the functionality of AsteriskGUI almost completely, and I'm trying to preserve as much of that as possible. Am I missing something? Is there a way to make all of this work together without modifying some source code? Thanks in advance! Jason Burbage jason at mhonetworks.com

Why does everyone seem to dislike *now?
Greetings, Last week I began researching Asterisk for the first time. I did what most noobs would do; downloaded an image that seemed simple and straightforward and had some credibility (*now). I also downloaded the TFOT version 1 as a guide. As questions arose, I tossed a few out in #asterisckNOW channel..and found it to be a ghost town. Only later did i start to ask a few
