Is real-time encoding possible with ARM7 @ 66mHz?
Hi, I have the encoder running on an ARM7 at 66mHz and it takes about 2-times real-time to encode a monophonic pcm file. Both quality and complexity are set to 3. I am using the ADS 1.2 tool-chain which seems to optimize C pretty well. I cannot use the inline ARM assy code because the operations used are only available for the V5 and up core. I would be grateful for any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks, Scot R -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... We installed na Asterisk System whith 400 Softphone users (Eyebeam 1.5 from Counterpath). As far as we know, Asterisk don't support yet IM (Instante Message) feature, instead Eyebeam have this feature. Is that true? Is there any new version from Asterisk that supports IM? > Eduardo R. Curious

I've a little thing, without consequences, I try to understand since last evening; I will try to resume it clearly : You must know that I create an NTFS partition, for only coding my CD's in FLAC (for home using) and in MP3 (for car using). My partition inculudes some directories called WAV, FLAC and MP3, amongst others, for personal and paranoiac purposes (double

GLMM
Dear all, I'm working with count data following over-dispersed poisson distribution and have to work with mixed-models on them (like proc GENMOD on SAS sys.). I'm still not to sure about what function to use. It seems to me that a glmmPQL will do the job I want, but I'll be glad if people who worked on this type of data can share what they learned. Thanks for your time. simon

Windows and Ubuntu and Windows and......
...old that Samba is the way to do it, but it seems that Samba is fine for sharing Linux folders, but not what I need. Bearing in mind that I am a complete novice with Ubuntu (cant even find the Terminal window!!), have only been trying it (Ubuntu) for 4 days, and my programming skills stopped at 6502 assy language and paper tape Basic. Can anyone talk this dunce throw the operations, or is there a "Dummies Guide"? I have spent a day and a bit browsing the Interweb thingy and have found lots of stuff about accessing Windows shares, but nothing in particular showing how I can assign a drive...

modelling nested random effects with interactions in R
Hi there Please excuse this elementary question, but I have been fumbling with this for hours and can't seem to get it right. I have a nested anova, with random factor "lakefac" nested within factor "fishfac" (fixed), with an additional fixed factor "Habfac". If I consider everything as fixed effects, it's addmittedly not the correct model, but I can at

The local Tinc gateway will ultimately (I believe, Guus can speak on this with more authority than I can) perform the job of proxy ARP to get the traffic to the destination on the other side of the VPN. Hi All, If given a dataframe (long form) with Year, Species, and Location, How would I write a function that would create a unique matrix of Species & Location for each Year? What I've tried doing is the following: data #dataframe dataT<-table(data$Species,data$Location,data$Year) #creates tables of Species vs Location for each Year But I'm encountering issues individually

substitute question
Consider the following example: # substitute a with b in the indicated function. Seems to work. > z <- substitute( function()a+1, list(a=quote(b)) ) > z function() b + 1 # z is an object of class call so use eval # to turn it into an object of class expression; however, # when z is evaluated, the variable a returns. > eval(z) function()a+1 Why did a suddenly reappear again
