Second try:
SuSE 9.3, wine 0.9.16 (rpm), NO wine tools - just winecfg
Third try:
SuSE 10.1 (updated), CrossOffice 5.0.3, ie6,dcom95
In all environments I get almost the same output:

an application fails to work with wine 0.9.30
...he version change was probably:
old version: 0.9.21
new version: 0.9.30
It's quite probable that I did some stupid thing in the meantime
(independent of the upgrade), but I don't understand the error
message, so I would be very grateful for any hints:
