Audio/video synchronization in ogm files
Hi! I made an ogm file with ogg audio and divX video. When I play it, sound and movie are not well synchronous (I played it with WMP and ashampoo). What can I do? NB: I know that this problem does not come from the audio and the divX video files, since when I make a mp3/divX avi file, it works. Sincerely, Frédéric. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe fro...

AW: Why the commotion about file extensions?
...history of this extension debate (I passed up on reading the hundreds of messages that seem to have been written about this topic). I just wanted to make one quick point: from my experience, the average user does not know about file formats, only about content (my experience stems from working for ashampoo (www.ashampoo.com) who specialize in creating easy-to-use programs for non-tech savvy people). People don't quite grasp what an .avi is, or divx or the difference between an .mp3, .wav or Vorbis file. Especially on Windows where file extensions are hidden by default. It is all tech-babble for t...

CD Burner that supports .ogg files?
...of ripping all my CD's to hard disk in preparation for the home theater PC that I'm in the process of building. I am a couple of hundred CD's into this and I came across one small problem, I can't find any CD burning software that will let me burn from .ogg files. I've tried Ashampoo's BurnYa, but the software doesn't support any of my CD-R drives yet. Does anyone know of any other Windows software that will burn CD's from ogg files? Thanks in advance for your help. Erock <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage...

ogg vorbis and CD burning software
Has anone started a petition or email campaign to make Ahead Software and Roxio aware of the need to be able to use their software to burn oggs? I currently use Ashampoo BurnYa! Audio CD for this, but I noticed that even if you have the box checked that tells it to burn "Disk At Once," it still puts 2-second pauses between tracks on a live CD or between tracks that connect. Furthermore, I use Nero for everything else, and I like to stick with what I know,...

Also, if I use a more recent encoder, should I also use updated decoder/ogg stuff or will the v1.0 libraries still be compatible? Thank you for your time, Hauke Duden ashampoo Technology GmbH & Co. No audio with slackware for live station
He means that development of WinAmp 3 has discontinued. WA2 is being updated to support WA3's extra features (video, media library), and WinAmp 5 (2+3=5) is the main new development. You can read the announcement on the WinAmp forums. >===== Original Message From Stefan Neufeind <stefan@neufeind.net> ===== >On Fri, 16 May 2003 at 13:15:22, Geoff Shang wrote: > >> I

No audio with slackware for live station
Hy, I've just installed the latest release of icecast2 and ices from CVS. I have a linux Slackware 9.0 with the default packages. After install of ices and icecast & relative libraries (with no errors), I've started the icecast server. When starts ices, this is the debug: --- INFO ices-core/main ices started...
