no luck with streamers
The same as wtih liveice, it stops while trying to open /dev/dsp according to strace.

no luck with streamers
Check out if there is another application using /dev/dsp. Especially if
you have Mandrake and KDE, because Mandrake set up artd (a sound server
for KDE) by default.
You should also check out the permissions for /dev/dsp. The user who is
trying to run liveice (or whatever) must be allowed to open /dev/dsp.

ZFS Automatic Device Error Notification?
Okay, so now that I''m planning to build my NAS using ZFS, I now need to devise or learn of a preexisting method to receive notification of ZFS handled errors on a remote machine.
For example, if a disk fails and I don''t regularly login or SSH into the ZFS server, I''d like an email or some other notification immediately of the ZFS event.
Are there already ways to do
