Good Will Legal Question
...dard R logo on the front of hoodies to sell? I have read your rules but wanted to ask as I feel a moral right to email you asking to show support and respect for the R project.
?
If it makes it easier I could build send a picture of the hoodie with the logo on to you to see if this is acceptable.

Dear Arid Sweeting,
R-help is probably not the place to ask this question, although perhaps since you're seeking moral advice, people might want to say something. I would normally expect to see a query like this addressed to the R website webmasters, of which I'm one -- with the caveat that the R Fo...

Spatstat - K2 index
Hi all,
I'm using spatstat to investigate the spatial structure of an arid shrub
population. The first-order intensity of my data does not appear to be
homogenous, so I would like to use inhomogeneous techniques. I realise
there is a inhomogeneous K-function available in spatstat, but there
doesn't not appear to be one for the pair-correlation function (O-ring
stati...

Blocking and Nested ANOVA Design. Am I using the aov() function correctly?
...lar
experimental designs without success.
I want to perform an ANOVA analysis using the aov() function. I am not
100% sure that I have it right. If anyone can help me, that will be
greatly appreciated. My design is not balanced for any of the factors.
My main aim is to compare the 5 different AI (aridity index) groups
and to identify a pattern of the response of the AI groups to the
treatment that I applied for the parameter that I measured. In total I
have 24 different populations of a specific tree species. The
population refers to the geographical area that I choose to collect
seeds from and...

nls and geometric mean regression
Hello folks,
I'm seeking opinions about the validity of the following use of the
nls function...
A colleague and myself are working with tree allometric data
consisting of measurements of individual trees in semi-arid Australian
woodland species. We need to make predictions of trunk diameter (DBH:
diameter at breast height) given tree height and vice versa. I _think_
this falls into the category of model II regression in that both
variables are measured with error in our data, and we desire agreement
between for...

Special rate - $144/night
There are other hotels in the area, so if the hotel fills (as it did
last year) there are other options. But getting a room at the
Renaissance is probably your best bet, since you won't have to trudge
across the arid parking lots or drive to another venue. There are
lots of restaurants close-by in the new entertainment center - I
didn't go to the same place twice last year!
To answer the question that seems to be on everyone's lips: yes,
AstriCon looks to be as big than last year, if not signifi...

Er, no it isn''t. You young punks wouldn''t know old-school if it bit
you in the diapers! Now get off my lawn! ;-)
Seriously though, REAL old-school quoting is interleaved point by
point, with anything irrelevant trimmed
