[Bug 92077] New: nouveau graphics freeze when using KDE Plasma 5; PGR engine fault

Kernel: 4.0.5 (self-compiled)
I filed a bug against Plasma 5 but I'm not sure if it's their bug. See
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352605
I also have an apitrace record of plasmashell, replaying which (like a mini
film) also freezes the nouveau. But it's a rather large file (1.4 GB) and
contains private photos.

[Mesa-dev] Crash with Mesa-10.4.4 and NV68
Hi Arno,
I think at this point the most helpful thing would be to get an
apitrace (https://github.com/apitrace/apitrace) with your "fix" in
place. Once you make the trace, change your fix to instead abort the
program, and replay the trace. This will allow us to look at the
precise call sequence that causes the issue.

nouveau: kernel rejected pushbuf: Invalid argument
Thanks for your response. I am able to capture a few more lines of the dump (see console-output.txt). dmesg output attached.
My bitmap is 720x512. Below is the library versions, and amount of vram.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.

nouveau: kernel rejected pushbuf: Invalid argument
...released, I'd recommend trying
with that.
Another simple explanation is if your application is multithreaded and
is drawing concurrently from multiple threads -- this is plain
unsupported by nouveau. (Even though it can be done in ways that are
perfectly legal in GL.)
You could try to make an apitrace
(https://github.com/apitrace/apitrace/) to see what's actually going
on deep down inside. But do that after you update mesa.

gallium state tracker calls calloc for 0 sizes arrays ?
Hi All,
While debugging: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1008089
I made a apitrace recording of the a single slide transition
animation, and since I suspected memory corruption replayed
it using ElectrFence + glretrace, this finds a 0 sized array
allocation at src/mesa/state_tracker/st_glsl_to_tgsi.cpp: 5565:
if (proginfo->Parameters) {
