OpenLDAP auth problems
i have CentOS 4.5 with OpenLDAP 2.2.13. OpenLDAP contains users with SSHA-ed
and CRYPT-ed passwords.
the one and ugly thing is that users with CRYPT-ed passwords cannot bind to
this LDAP server. however users with SSHA passwords do can.
is there any solution without recompiling anyhting?

Adding text (coefts) to pairs panels
Hi,
First of all, thanks for the efforts of all the developers and contributors
- I'm very new to R and at the moment am just using it to create some
graphics, but it seems to be quite powerful.
I've googled the archives and wasn't able to find anyhting that dealt with
this problem, so would appreciate any suggestions/tips.
In a pairs plot I'd like to plot a linear regression line in each panel and,
also in each panel, I'd like to have some text in the panel showing the
coefts, etc.
I'm able to get the regressions line plotted, but...

Support for PolarSSL?
Hey Timo,
Just curious if you ever thought about supporting other than just OpenSSL?
PolarSSL looks really interesting, has no major dependencies and is very
lightweight compared to OpenSSL, GNUTLS or others...
https://polarssl.org/
I guess it could be a lot of work, or not, anyway, I'm just curious...

OK, that's perhaps strange - do you have any ideas about what MDNodes we
create when linking modules together? If anyhting I would expect a
reduction in size as MDNodes are deduplicated across multiple modules. Are
you measuring this after the original modules have been unloaded? Are we
not unloading those modules once we've created the merged module?

correct procedure for reporting kernel problems?
I''ve had domU''s hickup a few times with latest unstable, and I guess this can
be expected. Is there a procedure in place to report these problems?
For exampe:

dovecot 1.0.10
...ovecot to authenticate against LDAP. And it's a
first time to run both dovecot (at all) and OpenLDAP (at all).
Versions are below.
Dovecot: 1.0.10
OpenLDAP 2.3.40
Dovecot cannot bind to the dn. This may be due to the fact that all
google-able documentation doesn't give good examples or anyhting to
hint. I'd prefer to use the rootdn by slapd.conf, but if I have to use
a entry in the LDAP database, I will do that.
I've tried the rootdn, password, overriding password with the same hash
as in the slapd.conf via {SSHA} and nothing works. I then tried to
create a uid (and dn) with...

Quoting column names, postgres and legacy databases
...Currently the machine I am developing/serving on, is an Ubuntu box,
accessing a remote Postgres box (Suse). I have to \"quote\" field names
when using Model.find(). The columns are a mix of all capital, uppercase
and occasionally lowercase field names (not my doing) - would that have
anyhting to do w/ it ?
I''m really not sure where to look. Is this tied to Active Record, the
Postgres database or the Postgres drivers on the dev machine? I''ve
looked at the AR code and seen the quote_colum_names methods, but am not
quite sure what/where I should patch? Any help app...

Accountcodes
I'm trying to use accountcodes, but experiencing inconsistant
results. I have two * servers, one which appears to be working as
expected and one not. I would like to prepend the device's accountcode
to the dialed number. The sip1 server does not seem to have the
${ACCOUNTCODE} variable set when reading the extensions.conf, but sip2
server does.

.rjs files
...with the appriate id to highlight when a certain action is
performed, by using a .rjs file. To make and use this .rjs file all I
have to do is give it the same name as the action being performed, in
this case add_airline_table, correct? It is also my understanding that I
don''t have to add anyhting to the controller or the view? Just been
playing with this as well, and its not working, arg! So goes my typical

pam-mysql and freebsd 4.7
.... I
turned on loggin in mysql, so I can see any connection made and any select
statement made, but the attempts used with pam-mysql are not logged at all.
Which simply means that pam-mysql can't even connect to the mysql server.
I've been searching with my friend Google, but can't find anyhting that
might help me... It's very likely that I overlooked a few things, but I'm
kinda wandering in a maze right now... I'm stuck...
What I did was install a plain FreeBSD 4.7 from the CD's. I selected the
maximum security (which means no service is started by default). Next, I

Bug in "force group" parameter, or group membership checking?
...th = /shares/exact

If I don't specify force group = exact , apparently the authorized users

being "Domain Users" and they aren't allowed anyhting on the share

/dev/mapper/, too, but no matter how often I say refresh-pool mpath01, it will

Does anybody know of these problems or how to work around them? Are these
problems solved in newer versions? (I could not find anyhting in the
bugtracker...)

X-Lite Softphone
Hey Everyone,
I downloaded and installed the X-Lite softphone the other day (the lite
version) and cannot seem to get it to work well.
Don't get me wrong, it registers with my asterisk server and everything
seems to work well, except the call quality really is horrible.
I thought it may be the place I was trying it at (DSL) so I took it to
the office and tried it right next to the asterisk
