large packet support in netfront driver and guest network throughput
...e guests? Is there any benchmark of maximum throughput achieved in the guests using PV drivers and without PCI pass thru? Also, what could be the reason for throughput drop in the guests (from ~3.2 to ~2.2 Gbps) consistently after few runs of iperf? Any pointer will be highly appreciated. thanks, Anirban

I suspect I need to have a quasiRNG.c file where I will use preprocessor statement that will select the good version of the function to call. Is that correct? lm: order of dropped columns
Hi all, If presented with a singular design matrix, lm drops columns to make the design matrix non-singular. What algorithm is used to select which (and how many) column(s) to drop? Particularly, given a factor, how does lm choose levels of the factor to discard? Thanks for the help. Best, Anirban [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

lm: mark sample used in estimation
Hi all, I wanted to mark the estimation sample: mark what rows (observations) are deleted by lm due to missingness. For eg, from the original example in help, I have changed one of the values in trt to be NA (missing). # code below # ---- # original example > ctl <- c(4.17,5.58,5.18,6.11,4.50,4.61,5.17,4.53,5.33,5.14) > trt <- c(4.81,4.17,4.41,3.59,5.87,3.83,6.03,4.89,4.32,4.69) #

Getent not returning complete results.
I have some Redhat(ES 3) Linux servers authenticating agains Active Directory. One of the servers is not returning the complete list of users and groups for commands : getent passwd getent group But when I do wbinfo -u, I do get all the users. This is baffling me. The other servers don't have this problem. I have tallied the configuration on the servers and they are same. Thanks.

Failed cleanup on peer probe tmp file causes volume re-initialization problems

Deviance in Zero inflated models
Dear list, I am running some zero inflated models and would like to know what the deviance of the models. Unlike running a normal GLM where the deviance is displayed in the summary all that is displayed in a summary of the zero inflated model is the log likelihood. I hope this isn't a read the manual question, and if it is I apologize for wasting your time, but if you could still send me a
