I have upgraded my computer from win95 to win98 and now I'm getting "The password is incorrect. Try again." on shares that were working. Any ideas??? Hi all, A user in the firm can't login onto a SCO/samba box from his workstation, but he can from mine. Have checked all the log files and nothing strange. Any help pls. Hello ! Another fine samba question ;-) I have a network with roundabout 10 winxp clients. They all work fine with pdc logon on the samba machine, so far. But not all users can login on all machines. Mostly the user can only login on his/her standard workplace-machine. Other users, eg. myself, can logon on all machines in the net. What's the problem ? I've found nothing in the lists. Hi, I am using Suse 7.3 as the PDC for my medium sized Domain. I have configured Samba to authenticate users from Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. I do not have any problem to get authenticated through Win98; but, when I try to login from Windows 2000, I get an error, as CANNOT ACCESS DOMAIN SERVER DUE TO BAD USER NAME AND PASSWORD. I have created users with the specified password. I have also mentioned as Encrypted passwords. Also, I have added the machine names with the $sign. Please help....
