Don't Understand Error Entry
I am using dovecot-0.99.11-8.EL4 on my system and decided to check the logs
since I just took over as the administrator on this system and I noticed the
same error entry over and over in the logs. I went to /var/log/dovecot.err
and see:

unicorn <3
hey, i am a big unicorn fan -- i have been running it in production
since
late 2010, and it is happily handling (literally) billions of backend
requests
for a popular facebook game.
i also <3 unicorns in general ..... so i decided to make an awesome t-

sporting the "Angry Unicorn" that you may remember from github error
pages.
i hope some of you might like it as well:

Siemens Gigaset IP in USA (S685 IP in particular)
For some unfathomable reason, Siemens USA doesn't offer the Gigaset IP
range in the U.S. I'm particularly interested in the Gigaset S685 IP.
Since it's DECT 6.0, and there's an English (UK) version, I'm thinking
it should work just fine, after dealing with the walwart issue (and
maybe caller ID signalling).
Anyone imported one from the UK and using it in the US? for how

I have the opposite problem. I have customers who call libm functions with constants (or their LLVM intrinsic equivalents) are get very angry if they don't get constant folded, and they're not picky at all about the precision.

angry red X's & disconnected drives
Esteemed Ladies and Gentlemen of the Samba list,
I have a curious problem on one of my windows 2000 machines.
As soon as the user connects to a samba share, they are disconnected and
the drive appears marked with a red X
The samba logs indicate that 10-20 seconds after any user of this machine
connects to a network drive, they are disconnected.
Oddly enough, you can browse the contents of

typeIII SS for lme?
To avoid angry replies, let me first say that I know that the use of
Type III sums of squares is controversial, and that some statisticians
recommend instead that significance be judged using the non-marginal
terms in the ANOVA. However, given that type III SS is also demanded by

60% full and writes fail..
I have a setup with lot's of small files (Maildir), in 4 different
volumes and for some
reason the volumes are full when they reach 60% usage (as reported by
df ).
This was ofcourse a bit of a supprise for me .. lots of failed
writes, bounced messages
and very angry customers.
Has anybody on this list seen this before (not the angry customers ;-) ?

Samba 3.0.1 -> 3.0.2 upgrade problem
...as backend. Two servers work as PDC (each in different VLAN), one
server is BDC. I had only few minutes to test it from Windows XP clients
(we use Windows 98, 2000 and XP clients in our company) because we have
hundreds of users connected and I had to go back to 3.0.1 immediately
before the get angry:-) I found strange errors in client's machine log,
desciption follows:

re: 120 GB larger hard disk
...d shine some light on this,
also a fdisk -l /dev/hdX could be useful.
For now - let me guess:
<guess>
To me, it seems, that the disk is clipped to 32GB, perhaps the
mainboard bios can not cope with a disk >32GB - just a thought.
Since the manufactorer knows that every customer would be angry having
a crippled disk, he *might* have installed a vendor software to
enlarge the disk to the real size. This runs fine under windows, but
in no-way under Linux
Then Windows was installed on top and this was running fine.
After repartitioning, the disk-software is gone, and so leaving you

Fwd: Good installation documentation on samba4?
...lines, but
my file is actually still a bit more complex(and possibly redundant).
Regarding the troubleshooting page, it is *far* from complete. At the very
least, the documentation should at a check for a succesful 'kinit' command
to see if the system is going to work.
Maybe I sound a bit angry, but I severely dislike documentation that leaves
you with an unfinished installation. Compare the monstrously sized Samba
3.5 with Samba 4 kind of illustrates the point that not all bases are
covered which is a shame to me.

[LLVMdev] Build errors: llvm-gcc 4.3-2.5, x86-64.
From an x86-64 machine, I'm trying to compile llvm and llvm-gcc. I'm
using the LLVM 2.5 release, and the associated llvm-gcc tarball. llvm
compiles fine; ours is compiled to a Debugging version. llvm-gcc,
though, is angry. I get the following error (with path prefixes
shortened for convenience) when compiling llvm-gcc:

AFAICS, this is not the problem.
The nicks are clearly randomly generated by smashing words together
and the content seems to be what comes out of a language model after
reading angry Facebook posts.
Registering is quick and easy and would filter 99% of the automated
accounts. Not 100% and not the people with too much time in their
hands. But those, nothing will.

I just want LLVM to behave the same on whatever platform it's run on.
People already accept that depending on iteration order is a bug, but
it's been harder to get people to accept that...
