UFS snapshot weirdness
Hi all, I've been making a wrapper script for the backup tool 'duplicity', allowing me to create config files for each resource, wherein I define whether a snapshot should be made prior to backing up the resource or not. Now I find that my snapshots never change .... The script creates a snapshot, creates md device, mounts it, runs backup against the mounted snapshot,

Update on protection against slowloris
Hi list! We tested mod_antiloris 0.4 and found it quite efficient, but before putting it in production, we would like to hear some feedback from freebsd users. We are using Apache 2.2.x on Freebsd 6.2 and 7.2. Is anyone using it? Do you have any other way to patch against Slowloris other than putting a proxy in front or using the HTTP accept filter? Thanks for your feedback, Martin

HSM devices and FreeBSD
Hello all, first, if this is disallowed by the rules for this list (I'm a bit uncertain..), then please forgive me. I am working for a company doing services for the credit card industry. Among other things, we specialize in authentication systems (3-D Secure) for internet-based trade, and are subject to very strict security requirements (obviously). The relevant systems are all

gkrellmd failure on -STABLE
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi! I am not quite sure if this is the place to post, so have me excused if I am in error. I've just upgraded my gkrellmd (daemon-only) to 2.1.16 (from 2.1.15), but when attempting to restart the daemon I get gkrellmd select() failed: Invalid argument I though 'darn, i have to go back to the old version', and tried to reinstall the
