Voicetronix
Has anyone gotten the voicetronix boards to work with Asterisk, what
would it take? Or does anyone know where I can get 4 ports or more fxs
PCI cards that do work with asterisk?

Asterisk, VoiceTronix & UK Caller ID
Hi All,
Just a quick question, but I could really use some help on this one.
I've got the CVS-Head of * installed and running, and am using a VoiceTronix
OpenSwitch12 to connect to 12 analouge lines. I've got callerid activated by
the Telco, and can get callerid using a std phone. However, using *, I
always get an error 'Cannot decode callerid'.
Does anyone know if I need to patch the vpb driver or something?
Many many thanks,
Ian Bonham

not yet a new user, some questions
...n,
I have some questions for configuration:
1) I have a PRI, so I must buy a digium card to interface with PRI, right?
2) If I connect an ethernet card from the pc (equipped with a digium card
connectd to the PRI) to a switch I can connect users to this switch, right? I
can connect traditional analouge phones to this switch?
3) asterisk doesn't support fax, right?
4) there is some hardware that support ISDN lines? I can use asterisk with
ISDN?
thanks
regards
Nicola

Once You're up and loaded and able to get to

Setup AMP the following way:
Trunks
1.) Click on "Trunk ZAP/g0" change the dialout prefix
to something else.
NOTE: Unless you have a digum card and have a normal
POTS analouge line
you should NOT want this. You should leave it just
incase it ever happens(or just delete it who cares).
However, change the dial-out # to something odd.
Chances are it'll never be used.
2.) Add a SIP Trunk:
