# IP601's with POE per Catalyst 3560G-48PS
...to figure out how many phones can be powered. The Cisco 3560 datasheet says "the 48-port PoE configurations can deliver the necessary power to support 24 ports at 15.4W, 48 ports at 7.7W, or any combination in between" ...370 Watts POE max output. >From a UPS planning site: Volts * Amperes = VA VA * .8 = Watts To convert small units into large units you divide. Amperes = 1000/500mA = .5A VA = 24V * .5A = 12VA Watts = 12VA * .8 = 9.6 Watts 370 Watts maximum output / 9.6 Watts/phone = 38 phones Does this logic hold water or change with line loss? X100M never goes on-hook state
Hi guys, I've been experiencing a very strange issue with my Digium Card TDM400 as of this week. It has two FXS and two FXO. The FXO modules (both of them) never goes on-hook after hanging up in Asterisk. It had worked perfectly well for over four years. I put an ammeter in series with the line and the card, and immediately after plugging the connector to the card, I got 26mA in the circuit

24V DC ATX PSU with limited UPS functionality over USB
...oller... Now the question to you: Since I do not want to reinvent the wheel, I like to use existing programs where I think, NUT is the perfect solution... The problem is, HOW I have to deliver the data to it or how must I provide it? The "PowerWhatch" module picks only the Voltage and Amperes and Temperature from each of the 11 modules... and maybe it will store them for a while in a 8-16 kByte NV-RAM or something like this... If you have ideas or suggestions, please let me know. Greetings and Nice Day Michelle Konzack Systemadministrator 24V DC Electronic Engineer Tam...

[nut-commits] svn commit r1582 - in trunk: . data docs drivers man
Reporting current in milliAmps is not a good idea. This will lead to impractically large values, especially when we report them with two decimals resolution (10 microAmps). Even the laboratory measuring equipment that is standing right next to me now, doesn't offer this resolution in the range that is common for most UPS'es. I think you meant to write 'Ampere (A)' here

Dynamix 1000 VA USB and NUT
Hi, I've got two Dynamix UPS's, both of which are USB and don't seem to work with NUT yet. Can anyone give me some advise on where I should start with working on getting them working. I can do a little C programming, so happy to give things a go but need some guidance. Brian R. Smith (who also subscribes to this list) has one as well. I've attached the output of lsusb -v and

powermust usb
Hi, I have a powermust with a usb connector. I searched the archive and found this post: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2006-April/000816.html Must I abandon hope of controlling this UPS via USB with NUT? blazer_usb MEC0002 problem Fry's Electronics (Turbo-X)
Hi, I have two ups (Turbo-X 1000SD, Turbo-X 1500SD). The both report themselves as # lsusb Bus 008 Device 002: ID 0001:0000 Fry's Electronics The are produced by MEC and report MEC0002 as product (although the working one report it in dmesg but not in lsusb) The 1000 (bcdUSB 1.00) works with blazer_usb while the 1500 (bcdUSB 1.10) doesn't. I am attaching lsusb and blazer_urb output

INFOSEC 500 XP usb support
Hi everybody, In a christmas sequel I've been offered one of the units mentioned above. I've tried to connect it to my Fedora 8 workstation but rapidly concluded it's not yet supported by NUT. So far, I've decompiled the Java classes of the manufacturer's application and noticed that it's most probably yet another kind of serial protocol through the USB. Since
