different .Rprofile files for different projects
Dear list, First off, let me offer my apologies, I know this is a very basic question. After amassing a large number of objects (from multiple projects) in one working directory, I'd like to be able to start using different directories, just for the sake of organization alone. But I have no idea how to do this. I am using a mac, running R 2.5. Searching the FAQ online I find: 12.1 How

Possible to Customize File Naming Scheme?
Hello all, [Sorry if this has been covered already - I searched back a little way in the archive and didn't find anything recent on the topic.] I'm wondering if it is possible to customize the way dovecot creates or modifies filenames in the maildir directories? I'm watching how my mail system works, and I see that procmail creates a new file in the <folder>/new directory,

Samba patches - where best to send them?
Hi Folks, Where is the best place to feed back patches and problem reports for Samba these days? Should I be using "samba-patches@samba.org"? This list? The samba-technical list? The samba-bugs address bounces back an auto-response telling one to use samba-patches for well-formed patches, but if the Jitterbug web interface is to be believed then submissions to samba-patches seem to be

When I rebooted it would no start x

DAHDI phantom pickup when ringing
...hink that I had picked up the phone. However I didn't have any luck with that, either. There is a 'debounce' parameter which is great in theory, but only worked when I hung up the phone - it had no impact on picking it up in the first place. So I'm throwing the question open to the amassed wisdom of [asterisk-users]. Can anybody perhaps point me in the right direction of what I can try next? Thank you! Wikis for R
Frank uses the term "hierarchical keyword organization" which I agree is a good way to organize a system designed to help users. In fact, this is one reason why I like the R graphics gallery which allows one to quickly find a particular type of plot based on keyword, examine the plot to see if it's close to what's desired, and then get the detailed code to examine or modify for

Yager on ZFS
Not sure if it''s been posted yet, my email is currently down... http://weblog.infoworld.com/yager/archives/2007/10/suns_zfs_is_clo.html Interesting piece. This is the second post from Yager that shows solaris in a pretty good light. I particularly like his closing comment: "If you haven''t checked out ZFS yet, do, because it will eventually become ubiquitously implemented
