Why is rstudio not in Ubuntu repo or PPA?
Hi,
rstudio is very easy to install, but it would be great if it were just
an apt-get away. Is there a reason it is not in Ubuntu main repos or
in rrutter PPA?
Kind regards,
Xu

Thank you so much for the explanation, JJ! It is very kind of you to
give such detail and transparency. I am highly appreciative of it.

File changes not being written immediately
...problem is when we save the file in the
editor, the changes are not immediately written to disk. It can take
anywhere from 10 to 45 seconds for the changes to appear on the server. I
can test this by saving a file from Windows and using VI on the server. The
problem is exhibited most prominently by Allaire Homesite 4.5 but it also
occurs less frequently in other editors we have experimented with. Any
ideas?
Thanks!

Why is rstudio not in Ubuntu repo or PPA?
Thanks so much for your explanatory details JJ and for all of your
work. It is highly appreciated!
I wonder if Qt 5.6 will be in the default repos for 16.04. That make a
nice time for things to come together.
Kind regards,
Xu

Why is rstudio not in Ubuntu repo or PPA?
Yes, a PPA would definitely be great and we'll look into doing that soon.
Dirk, you can avoid some of the scraping you are doing in those scripts via
the URLs here (which are redirects to the latest stable/preview/daily
versions):

getting closer to run homesite4.5
Thanks to Dimitry's tip I'm getting closer to run Allair's Homesite4.5 but I reached a point
where I don't know how to debug the remaining problem(s).
I used to get a runtime error, but with getting native stdole32.tlb this doesn't appear any more.
Now I have 2 scenarios:
1.) starting with native comctl32.dll (and commctrl.dll)
- the small...

I'm trying to set up a Linux, rh9, webserver with samba support, so that
user's can make the pages on their windows boxes and drop them right on
the server. I'm having one problem, when the user connects Dreamweaver,
MX version, gives an error about can not determine the server time. I've
added:
