The R signon banner includes this statement: Natural language support but running in an English locale Should that not say 'National' instead of 'Natural'? Meaning that LOCALE support is enabled, not that the interface understands human language? Please ignore this and forgive me if this is an inappropriate post. I am a N00B in R. SAMBA on AIX --> nsswitch.conf?
Hi I am still trying to run SAMBA on AIX with "security = ads" and I have a few questions: - on AIX is no such file as /etc/nsswitch.conf --> Do I have to add the configuration somewhere else? - I allways get this "User xy is invalid on this system" if try to map a share from Windows. What does this mean? Is the user invalid on the Domain? on AIX? on SAMBA? Is the User

Binary distributions
I have just finished compiling Samba 2.0.7 and creating HP-UX swinstallable bundles for both HP-UX 10.20 and 11.00. In both cases I compiled with the +DAportable flag so that the linker would create PA-RISC 1 code, for hardware portability. If anybody has a need for pre-compiled HP-UX bundles I'd be happy to make these available. I can also compile on AIX 4.3 and SunOS 4.13 / Solaris 2.6

ssh 4.x using aix 5.3 auditing
Im trying to identify how ssh 4.5 interacts with the audit subsystem within AIX 5.3. i get an event when a user logs in, but not when they exit via ssh. i can get it to work with telnet, however. It would seem to me that if an event is captured from the login, that the same would be true for the logout. I've opened a PMR w/IBM, but not getting very much help. below is an example of my
